It’s No. 1 because on a scale of one to five, it ranks at 1. You get what you pay for. The food is hot and brown, and there’s plenty of it. This place is NOT for a discriminating palate. The noodles are stale. The meats taste like they’ve been in the freezer for a while but aren’t freezer burnt yet. The Pork Lo Mein that I had seemed on the dry side. It’s going to be a long time before I get hungry enough to try this place again.

Ordered the broccoli with shrimp and white rice. Very fresh and delicious yummy for my tummy. Crunchy and tasty, rice soft and not soggy. Enjoy every bite of the meal. Check it out. Very surprised on how inflation has affected the prices of things .

Never seen bright yellow shrimp fried rice , and it’s really bland ! 2 stars because I added my own sauces ( hot chilli sauce and black pepper ) so it’s getting me by for lunch today ! Probably won’t be ordering again from here

Got the combo fried rice, eggroll, and no1 chicken plate. Fried rice is bland and disappointing not worth the price, eggroll is typical youll get from other buffet locations so uninpressed. The no 1 chicken however was actually surprisingly delicious, the crispy skin and thinly sliced meat mixed with the mild spice resembles a similar taste to orange chicken. Best to just get main dishes like boneless ribs and chicken pass on the rice dish and eggrolls

Sorry, food was terrible. Pork fried rice was dry, sesame chicken seemed like it was day old ,jammed in a container and microwaved. It gave me a gut ache. Never again.

No. 1 is, by far, my favorite Chinese takeout in Milwaukee. The owner has memorized our standard order along with my teenager’s pickinesses and the food is extremely consistent and delicious. I also love the driver. He is polite and kind despite having limited English and he’s very quick, one time even delivering in 7 minutes (which comes with a handsome reward ). He’s as consistent as the food and he’s always a friendly face. The only time I’ve ever been unhappy is when they’re closed.

Staff was friendly, but the food was highly regrettable. I’ve never in my 50+ years of living seen bright orange fried rice and besides that the rice was not even fried. None of the dishes besides the boneless ribs appeared to have been seasoned at all. If you like flavor this is not the place for you

Have to agree with some others here that the quality has definitely decreased in the past year or so which is unfortunate because it used to be one of my go-to’s for a tasty and inexpensive meal. More often than not, my food will taste stale or it will be burnt. Lately been finding bones in the chicken which is unacceptable. I understand off days, but unfortunately these issues have been present in my last 3 orders.
