Stopped by before heading to Chicago after a long road trip and craved for Asian food. Nice food, good taste, comes in incredible portions compare to the price. Recommended!

Place is located in a strip mall at the very end of the establishment on the Michigan side (I traveled from the Wisconsin side). Beef and onions were very Mediocre, bell peppers were raw and very crunchy while the onions and beef were cooked through and soft. Shrimp fried rice was not terrible but also not to my liking. Rice was more moist than sticky and they use yellow rice instead of white rice which was a first for me. Plenty of shrimp in the rice but had the texture of great value (Walmart) shrimp which I do not entertain. Lastly, the boneless ribs were decent, very sweet but were like they’re cut from a main source of meat into medallions, not boneless ribs from a Chinese place that I’m used to. Probably good for the locals. Seems as though it use to be a buffet but has shut that part of the building down.

I haven’t ordered from Number One in several months. My husband and I always get the same thing and this time the restaurant had no broccoli or pea pods for the pork and mushrooms. The pork was a cheaper version. The sweet and sour chicken usually was in a carry out container. This time the chicken was in a bag and the sauce was in a styrofoam cup and less of it. The chicken tasted good. The quantity of the white rice was smaller and no more egg rolls. We won’t be back.

Much better quality food here than the all you can eat place in Marinette. Even though this place is no longer all you can eat, and doesn’t have a dining in option, the food is way better

I stopped at a gas station in Menomonie and everybody working there was eating Asian food. So I asked them where they got it from. I immediately went to No. 1 Chinese restaurant, and got the curry chicken for lunch it was awesome! I really loved it! Plus it was the lunch specials for under $6! You can’t beat it! Go there you’ll love it too.

Wonderful family, great food. Serving only togo orders right now but very reasonably priced and large portion sizes. Also even very large orders are finished super quickly 15 mins. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful staff and incredible food! When I was young and broke, the all you can eat for $5 buffet saved me. The food is delicious and the people who run it are the best! So kind and thoughtful! If I could give this restaurant 6 stars I would! If you want delicious food at a good price, this is the place to be!
