The staff are really friendly and more than willing to make suggestions based on what you tell them you like. Almost every item can be “taste tested” before adding to your order. This is just like going to a Panda Express, except the food is way better.
The night I went they didn’t have BBQ Chicken prepared, but they did have spicy chicken wings, fried rice and chow mein along with Jalapeño Chicken, which was off the chain! If you like a flavorful spicy chicken, this will blow you away.
To say the portions were large is an understatement, i ordered two entrees and a 50/50 fried rice/ Chow mein and even with a healthy appetite I was left with a full lunch, and I was stuffed. The portions are really large.
I really enjoyed the fried rice, but the chow mein was a little thicker than I am accustomed to, the noodles were more like Udon noodles in size, not the thinner chow mein noodles. That aside, it was all delicious. The one thing I was not impressed with was the chicken roll. Seemed overcooked and the consistency was all wrong. I’ll try the spring rolls next time.
There are a lot of items that can be ordered and if your willing to hang out and wait then your sure to be rewarded with some excellent cusine.
Lastly, we get to the price, and again its impressive. Barely double digits for my order which for the amount of food is more than just a good price. This is certainly a place I will coming back to on a regular basis and you would be wise to try it, at least once.
I was married to a Chinese man and shared meals with his family many times over the course of 26 years. The Jalapeno chicken at No. 1 Chinese food rivals any I’ve had.
Large servings and tasty food mean that I’ll come back to this place again the next time I visit my son. He’s in college in the area and when I visit we like to try local food places.
Tucked in the corner of the strip mall, it was busy with people coming in to take their meals out. Steady flow of customers while we were there around 1pm.
We got orange chicken as well and both chow mein and fried rice
I recommend giving them a try.
I originally ordered from No. 1 on uber eats and was disappointed with my first order. The flavor was decent but the sauce was extremely watery. Because of this I decided to give them a 2nd chance.
Today I went in person and ordered from them face to face. I explained about my last order and specially requested they make the sauce thicker and complimented the original flavor profile.
Upon checkout they had me take a quick look and from the 2 second glance I had, it looked fine. When I got home I realized that all the water was settled at the bottom. Google won’t let me upload a video but when I tell you this food is swimming. On top of that it is super bland and doesn’t even have the decent flavor profile I originally complimented. You can’t taste garlic at all.
Not only am I disappointed, hungry, and out $14… I feel disrespected like they played in my face. I will never order from them again and I warn the rest of you to think twice before ordering as well.
