This local diner has a big selection on their menu. I loved my food (Lemon and Herb chicken and shrimp scampi). It was my two favorites chicken and shrimp. My wife was not as impressed with the food. The server was helpful in guiding me to the food I would enjoy.

Good sized portions, pancakes are hot and fluffy, melted the butter easily. The Biscuits and Gravy were nicely done, four-biscuit portion, so good sized too. Breakfast served all day. A good replacement for Denny’s closure.

The food at Niven’ was very good. We had a good mix of hamburgers, seafood, salads, breakfasts, wings, nachos and more with a group of 10 people. They handled us very well and we all got exactly what we ordered. There wasn’t much of a wait either. The staff were very kind and helpful. If I find myself in this area again I would definitely come here.

Good improvements after new ownership in 2016. This is a great local hangout in the morning for the locals. The food is very good and attention to detail is high (very clean, very tidy, etc.). The staff is very friendly and right on top of things. I think the ONLY gripe I would have about Niveen’s is that they don’t seem to have any alternative to “pork” bacon, sausage, etc. My extended family, like many, is comprised with people who don’t eat meat; people who have issues with gluten; people who only eat certain types of meat; etc. Niveen’s has only one type of “country gravy” and that is with pork sausage already cooked into it. I’m sure for those who love pork it’s absolutely tasty, but for those who can’t (or don’t want to) eat pork there is no alternative. No vegetarian gravy, for example. And, how about the sausage and/or bacon? If you don’t eat pork, there is no alternative. No chicken sausage; no turkey bacon; etc. We still love coming to Niveen’s for other items, but sadly had to switch our Sunday morning family get-together to Denny’s, since they have non-pork and non-meat options for several of their gravy/bacon/sausage meals. I’m hopeful that one day Niveen’s will offer alternatives, since everyone agrees Niveen’s is far superior to Denny’s.

My over all experience was pretty bad from gross food to bad service I would not come again. We ordered the appetizer sampler and a breakfast sandwich. Over all the food was not good it was cold and over priced for what we got. On the sampler everything on it came out uncooked and cold. The chicken wings were still pink in the center. The mozzarella sticks were hard and cold. Even the onion rings were still doughy. The breakfast sandwich was fine but for almost $20 definitely not worth it. I’m not usually one to complain about food but the quality of everything we got was so bad I felt compelled to say something. Our waitress barely checked on us so we were only really able to express our concerns about the food at the end the meal. The waitress then blamed us for not saying anything before hand and had an attitude towards us for the beginning. She explained that there was nothing she could do because we didn’t say anything when we first got the food and then left to bring us our check.

Classic dinner, they offer everything you’d expect to see at any traditional dinner type restaurant. The service is usually pretty good. This restaurant seems to have a lot of regular customers who eat here (which is a good thing!) Especially in the morning for breakfast. Everyone should be able to find something that sounds good, I’ve always found my meals to be satisfying here.
