Dropped by for a casual bite and a cold beer and ended up having a blast. The burger hit the spot, but the cheese curds were the real standout—crispy and hard to stop eating. We lucked out by arriving on a night with a special, which made the whole visit even better. The place has a fun, energetic college-bar vibe that makes it easy to hang out longer than planned. Overall, it was a really enjoyable stop and a great way to spend the evening.

This was the perfect place to stop while in Madison. We went on a Tuesday around 12:00 and wasn’t busy… I could see it being a busy place in the evenings and weekends. I have celiac so needed a place that offered gluten free. I was amazed they had designated menu for gluten free and for you vegans out there… they had one for you too.
I got the reuben with a gf bun and French fries BECAUSE designated fryer for gluten free. My husband who is not gf got fish tacos.
Our waiter was great! Everyone was very nice and food was fantastic. Definitely recommend.
For those that like to stay out late and drink the rail mixers are $1.75 after 10pm… Pints are $1‼️

Arrived too town late and was looking for a quick bite to eat. This place was absolutely delicious, the good was good the location great and the atmosphere makes it all worth it. The process are a bit up there, a meal with a side and dump will put you into the $30 per person territory. Which maybe that the rate for this area, but that was a steep price for a meal. Would definitely eat here again.

This is a nice place that seems to balance the food with drinks well. The late night dinner was served like a regular dinner time dinner. Tried Chicago dog and it was filling, a nice meaty dog. Milkshake was creamy and the cheese curds were curded as they should be! Had an issue with a plate that was immediately corrected. High attention to putting out good food. Definitely a place to go!

I recently visited the town for the first time and was recommended this spot by the locals. I loved the atmosphere; it definitely had that classic college town bar vibe. The hosts and servers were exceptional. I ordered the double cheeseburger, which was juicy but could have used a touch more salt. The onion rings, cheese curds, fries, and chillies were fantastic. I also tried the peanut butter milkshake, and it was thick and delicious. If I find myself back in the town, I’ll absolutely be returning to this place!

Stopped for burger and cup of chili. Sat upstairs – great service and food was as expected. Love the mini Sundays for kids.

The service was excellent. Very attentive waitress. As vegetarians, we felt like there were a decent number of options but not a lot of great options. We all settled on the Impossible Burger as it was really the only vegetarian option with sufficient protein as part of the meal. The atmosphere during lunch was nice but nothing fancy. Bathrooms were clean. Lots of tv screens for watching sports.

This is my okd college town, this spot hasn’t changed. I didn’t like the Cheeseburger Mac, it had Nitty Gritty sauce all over it (sweet/tangy) which did NOT go with the mac!! 90% was wasted unfortunately, stick to the burgers! The cheesecurds were good. Drinks were good.

Excellent food with several gluten free options safe for celiac. Hostesses pre-warned us it may be noisy because of a large birthday party but that was no problem to us and we were happy they were having a good time. Waitress however was less than stellar. Took forever to come back to our table and we had to ask for water refills after they were empty.
