A colleague at work mentioned this spot to me. To be honest, it wasn’t bad, but it was just a burger—meaty, cheesy, bacon burger. If they had included some burger seasoning, it could have been fantastic. If you enjoy savoring the flavor of your burgers and truly appreciate the beef, then this burger is certainly for you. I got a double out of greed, and let me tell you, it was a hefty burger. I couldn’t finish it.

An absolute gem of a drive-in! The menu may be simple—burgers, chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches, hot dogs, fries, and onion rings—but every single item is loaded with flavor. The burgers are massive and juicy, the chicken and fish sandwiches are crispy and satisfying, the hot dogs are old-school classics, and the fries and onion rings come out golden, crunchy, and piled high.

Top it all off with a shake or malt, and you’ve got the perfect throwback meal. No chain fast food place can even come close! Pro tip: get there early—once they sell out, you’ll be waiting until your next craving. This is local comfort food at its absolute best!

Not worth it at all. Stay away if you value your money and tastebuds.

They have the gall to charge $16 for a double mushroom Swiss burger and use CANNED MUSHROOMS. They can’t even be bothered to chop up and sauté their own. Sure, there’s a lot of beef, but it is not flavorful at all. Plus the low quality bun is soggy.

The $4 fries are flavorless and soggy.

The $6 chocolate malt was OK but had no malt flavor to it.

On top of all of that, I could maybe see those prices being worth it if they provided a nice, nostalgic atmosphere to eat in, but they’ve made the lazy decision to keep their dining area closed thus reducing overhead even more. It just screams of cost cutting to wring every dollar out of the people nostalgic for this place.

The only bright spot was the friendly and speedy service. But that does little to fix anything when you have nowhere to eat your overpriced burger.

Classic drive-in food, huge burgers, crispy fries, creamy milkshakes, everything that it says it is, it is. The service can tak a long time depending on the season and time of day but the drive-in ambiance makes it a place where you can chat with other customers comfortably while waiting.

Great burger joint. Old fashioned yummy goodness. Hilarious that most of the reviews that dislike it. Don’t like it cause of the hours. Fresh meat delivered every morning, open at 10. They close when it runs out. Is there anything as simple as that to understand? I love the never know hours cause it weeds out the entitled, serve me, pamper me whiners and keeps them out of the lot and from buying up burgers so many others are way more deserving of. Keep up the great job Nite Owl, you’re rocking it.

My mom had bought me a cheeseburger from here months ago and it was amazing. I finally stopped here with her and ordered the double bacon cheeseburger with onion rings, the burger was cooked perfectly, the patties had a nice smoky char, the bacon was mildly crisp and the onions were to, it was big and really filling. The onion rings were good to. Keep this gem around forever, I will be back!!

Best cheeseburger in Milwaukee. They only do carry out and they only take cash. If it’s a nice beautiful day you better get there early cuz when they run out of meat they close.
