Really enjoyed my vegetable stew and home made bread at Ninth Street Bakery! They have a large selection of loaves and baked goods to bring home too. The staff members were kind and open in order to help me to find what I wanted. They have a great outdoor patio space where you can enjoy some fresh air while you eat your food!
I brought home the French Sourdough Loaf, the Stollen and Orange Almond Biscotti, and so far have been really enjoying all of them!

I ordered the hot roast beef sandwich. It was excellent. Perfect balance of meat peppers, cheese and siracha mayo. The roll it was in was also excellent. I wish this place was closer to my house. The side of coleslaw was refreshing and I was happy to find that they didn’t add a bunch of sugar. I will be back!

Full service bakery that just happens to make great sandwiches! I had the chicken curry salad on sourdough which had the right amount of curry flavor with just a little kick. Cole slaw that came with it was good, and the pickle spear had a nice crunch. I’ll definitely return to try their other sandwiches, and maybe one of their soups as well!

Ninth Street Bakery Durham gets the award for most unedible roast beef sandwich ever. The bread was almost fresh, the cheese rancid, and the meat one big hunk of fat and grizzle. This delightful conglomeration only will cost you $12 of your hard earned money. In other words their food sucks. Buyer beware. Oh yes, their bubka and breads are also award winning…lol

FIVE-STARS! We love the high quality of Ninth Street Bakery products, especially the 7-Grain loaf, muffins, and more… Although we have visited their bakery and store in downtown Durham, most of the time we will pick up their products at the South Durham Farmers Market and Whole Foods in Raleigh.

I can’t hype this place up enough !!! Not only is the food great but the VIBEZ ARE IMMACULATE!!! I feel so at peace and calm. Being there is like stealing away to a magical little cottage in the woods . Every time I’m there I fall more in love with the space . The owners and employees always give the best energy.
There’s amazing owners recently met Ari he’s a king , iris is a sweet heart, you’ve got the prince of the palace wesley and all the other stars of the bakery who really bring the magic. 1000 out of 10 recommend!!!!!

You gotta love the vibe that is Durham NC and all the genuinely “on point” eateries. Ninth St. Bakery is one of those that strongly contributes to this vibe. I have only been here once so I can’t say too much about the many offerings. I did have the “Spicy” pulled chicken sandwich and that’s the reason for the missing star.. it was not “Spicy”, it was bland. Everything else looked yummy but the chicken is all I tried.

Fantastic counter service and a damn good, and generously sized, potion for $12. The double chocolate chip cookie was as big as my sandwich and quite possibly my favorite part of the meal. The cheese and veggie sandwich was great, I’ll try the hummus and veggie next!

Wonderful experience! This is one of my Light Triumphs Over Darkness Tour stops. I bought the last Monster cookie in Durham. Several Chocolate Chocolate cookies, Amazing Coconut cake. The 2 Roast beef and cheese sandwiches were fresh and flavorful. I also enjoyed a Black Cherry sugar cane drink. I buy all these goodies and share them with family and friends. Staff is friendly and positive.
