Staff is friendly and attentive. The remodel they did here is nice – a simple Japanese feel, with a bit too much colorful LED lighting. Had the lobster Rangoon appetizer but it lacked any actual lobster. Sushi rolls are made rather loosely and tended to fall apart, not being as tightly wrapped as they should be. Quality of the seafood & vegetables were good, but the sweet potato roll was left undercooked. Unagi (eel) avocado roll was very good. Opted for the non-traditional tiramisu (at a sushi place?) and found the portion was small & covered in what tasted like strawberry Nestlé Quik. Still, glad to have sushi in Clinton… that doesn’t come from Hyvee.

We got a super crunch roll and spicy crabmeat roll. Both were excellent. We also tried the chicken hibachi dinner with friends rice, and the chicken yaki udon. Both of those were fine but nothing amazing. I would definitely go back and try more of the sushi options. The service was excellent as well.

Update: Is this place out of business? I just went there during normal business hours, and the doors were locked and not a single car was in the lot. The hours were posted on the door and no other signs explaining why they were closed.
Sushi was great! I went about a week or so after they opened so it wouldn’t be too busy. We had the Sashimi Deluxe, the Honeymoon Roll and the Rock Roll. Everything was great. We had room for dessert so we decided on the cheesecake tempura. Service was good and prices were average. Definitely coming back and glad there is a Sushi place in town….

Good food.. water not so good! The only complaint is the special are wrong. . I’ll change my review when the fix that mistake.
If we are paying a lot of money for any plate we should get a goo amount of food especially meat.

We managed to squeak in one Friday night at 1015pm and they still nicely accommodated a table out sushi and noodle order for us. It was ready quickly and the hostess was friendly and helpful. The sushi was actually really superb. We got 3 different rolls and they were all excellent. The place looks nice. Would go back again to dine in!

First visit and will definitely return when back in town to visit in-laws. I had the hibachi steak and chicken which was amazing. Full of flavor and steak was tender and juicy. Im not into the sushi but She had the army, California and Boston roll I believe. She was impressed and happy with the quality and flavors. The prices are comparable to all the other sushi and steak places we have been. The waitress was attentive and helpful with answers to the many questions. Easy to see and access from the road. One thing they could work on is bringing all the meals to the table at the same time. Our meals were brought minutes apart so we did not start our meal together. Our appetizers were also brought minutes apart. All else good. Must try!

Great sushi, great staff. The day we visited the temperature was in low teens with blowing snow. Very unpleasant weather. The place was not busy and we were seated quickly, they took our drink order, and they came back with a couple of bowls of onion soup, at no charge. It was very thoughtful and very much appreciated!
We ordered only from the Ninja Special Rolls menu and were not displeased with that decision at all. The rolls were large, 8 pieces each if memory still serves me well, nice and tight, and and very generous with the ingredients.
If you like sushi, you can’t go wrong here!

Staff greeted us as walked through the doors. As a vegetarian I was pleased to see numerous vegetarian options. I ordered the Vegetable Sushi Rolls & the Hibachi Vegetable dinner. Great flavor, large portions, & reasonable prices. My husband ordered the Hibachi Chicken Dinner and was also satisfied. There is a very large selection of dishes to choose from. I will be returning.

The Atmosphere is awesome, I had the “Clinton Roll” and it was Outstanding. Prices were more then fair for what was ordered. Staff was super friendly. I’m my opinion it is The Best restaurant in Clinton IA.
