10$ for fried rice only chicken and rice almost nothing on it. Last time I went it was on there.. trying to say fried rice is “stir fry” style then literally shows me a generic picture of a stir fry calling it hibachi. Smug and feel like I got scammed. After being to many many japanese and asian restaurants. See my other reviews.

A Must-Visit for Sushi Lovers in Anderson!
I recently dined at Ninja of Japan in Anderson, Indiana, and it was an absolute delight—hands down one of the best spots for authentic Japanese cuisine in the area. Tucked away at 21 W 38th St, this cozy restaurant has a serene, Tokyo-inspired vibe with comfortable booth seating and a quiet atmosphere that’s perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner. 2 The decor is simple yet inviting, with warm lighting and subtle nods to Japanese culture that make you feel transported without any fuss.
We started with the crab rangoon and edamame, both of which were fresh and flavorful—the rangoon was crispy on the outside with a creamy, savory filling that disappeared way too quickly. 6 For the main event, I went for the Philadelphia Roll and the house-special Anderson Roll, and wow—the sushi was impeccably fresh, with vibrant flavors from the salmon, cream cheese, and avocado in the Philly, and a perfect balance of textures in the Anderson. 6 My partner tried the Treasure Island roll, which was a standout with its creative mix of seafood and tropical notes—definitely a menu highlight worth ordering. 4 Everything is made to order, so it arrives hot and full of that just-prepared quality, and the portions are generous without feeling overwhelming.
Service was spot-on: friendly staff who were attentive but not hovering, and they nailed our modifications without a hitch. Prices are super reasonable too—our meal for two came in under $50, including appetizers, rolls, and a side of miso soup, which is a steal for the quality. 6 8 We even splurged on green tea ice cream for dessert, which was creamy, not too sweet, and the ideal cool finish to a savory meal. 4
Overall, Ninja of Japan earns its stellar reputation (4.3+ stars across hundreds of reviews) as a go-to for sushi and Japanese staples in Anderson—consistent, delicious, and welcoming. 2 5 If you’re craving fresh rolls or hibachi without the drive to Indy, this is your spot. I’ll be back soon—highly recommend! 5/5 stars.

DO NOT Play the claw machine!! In my 36 years of successfully playing them and winning countless times, I can confirm that this one is designed to make you lose. It’s rigged to drop the prize even when it grabs it and moves it along the top even when she got the prize twice! Not slipped out, but outright opens its claws and DROPS the prize twice!

Today was my wife’s birthday and we decided to try this restaurant for our first time and dine in. We were disappointed that they do not serve your food on plates, they serve them in to-go containers so you’re likely to make a little mess on your table. You’re also expected to clear off your table rather than having the server clean it up. The food was pretty good, but really overpriced for what we got. I would not say it was worth the cost. I paid for extra shrimp, and I would have expected a lot more than I got. Everything considered, it was an average experience. You need to cater more to the customer than you’re doing.

Dined in for the first time yesterday. Nice clean place with comfy booth seating. The sushi was delicious- I recommend the Atomic Bomb. Definitely has a Tokyo vibe once you walk in the door.

The place was clean with a nice atmosphere. Very relaxing. Food was served in take-away dishes and brought to the table.

Chicken tempura was great, basically what you’d find at a fair. Not sure how the fried Oreos were cooked but they were okay. The green tea ice cream was fantastic. It was also my first time eating it so nothing to compare to.

The express teriyaki chicken bowl wasn’t that great. Chicken was dry and the veggies tasted off.

Bento box chicken was better, not as dry. The ragoon was a very sweet cream cheese and the sushi was meh at best.

My 9 year old thought the dumplings were amazing and ate those right up.

Not really sure I’d choose to go back personally.

For some reason the cashier today was just disrespectful came from the back of the kitchen did not say nothing. Looked at me got his receipt and went back to the kitchen. Didn’t even say hi, or may I take your order or nothing. He looked angry. He looked greasy and he looked like he needed to wash his hands as well.

I’m good, I don’t have to go back there.

We got 2 chicken entrees, dumplings, and spring rolls. I got to the restaurant to pick up my online order really fast expecting to have to wait… but it was already ready. Yet, when i got it home a couple minutes later the chicken was cold, hard, and inedible. Like it had just been sitting there all day and all they did was scoop it up, which is why is was ready so fast. The sauce on the crazy chicken and the general toa’s both tasted like bland, undoctored, jarred sauce from the grocery store full of preservatives. A gross processed mayo based sauce. The dumplings and spring rolls werent much better. Tasted old and they had that softness that comes after fried food has been sitting out all day. Plus they were cold. We got a couple bites into everything and both decided to cut our losses and we couldnt eat any more. We threw the rest away…

I’ve only ever gotten the sushi, so I don’t know how the rest of the menu is. But I love their sushi. Easily my favorite place to go. Somewhat pricey but honestly not surprised for how good the sushi is. Haven’t been disappointed.
I personally recommend the Treasure Island dish, by far my favorite.
