Ninfa’s Mex Restaurant is truly a Houston gem!
It definitely has its on and off days like any spot, but honestly, it’s almost always so good. The service is always on point and the management is amazing — he remembers all the locals and treats everyone like family. Super welcoming every single time.
The food?
My absolute favorite is the Tacos a la Ninfa with chicken fajita… OMG. And don’t even get me started on the chile con queso with flour-tortilla chips — OMMMGMG, addictive!

Good experience. Dined here for dinner. Ordered Mexican candy shot and other drinks. Will return to try other items. There was a discrepancy with the bill, happy hour drinks versus regular price.

Have not eaten at Ninfa’s in years so were looking forward to a good meal. The drinks and food were not good at all. Margaritas tasted chemically and the Paloma ordered to replace it was not really a Paloma. Food (beef tacos al carbon) was bland and not good at all. Very disappointing
BUT our server was awesome and attentive and has the nicest smile. Great service!
The restaurant decor (atmosphere) was nice but it smelled terrible, like sewage. I hate that it was not the Ninta’s we once enjoyed but we are grateful for the great service

We’ve come here with my family for years and insist on having Mercedes as our waitress! Mercedes is the kindest, thoughtful, and most attentive person and is now a part of most of our big family celebrations

Ate here last night. My #1 spot for fajitas was closing early (see my other reviews) so I tried this place. I haven’t been here in probably close to 30 years. I had tacos al Carbon and it came with a little cup of queso … The good kind too. It was the perfect compliment to my taco , sign a touch of their red salsa .. It’s good y’all … It’s good…..
I chose refried beans and , whild they weren’t the best I’ve had , they were pretty good. I’ve had better beans at a hole in the wall restaurants. ♂️
The service was really good. My waiter was pretty attentive, even while busy. Always had a full glass of sweet tea. OMG the sweet tea ! It’s really good . I think I had about 5 glasses…. And one to go… The booth they at me in would be perfect for a date night. Soft table light . Warm and cozy atmosphere.
Will definitely be coming back. I want to try other menu items. What I saw being served at other tables looked absolutely delicious… I need to see for myself….

This location far exceeded my expectations!! Our server was incredibly hospitable (Jose) as was the rest of the staff throughout our experience. Plenty of parking, indoor & outdoor seating available, & a wide range of menu options. Food was delicious and tasted fresh. Would def return & recommend to a friend!

We stopped here on our way home and it was good. The fajitas were tasty! We really liked the beans both refried and charro which is rare for us at any Mexican restaurant. Good overall.

Great service, food missed the mark by far. Definitely far far from the original Nifas I remembered as a kid. I’d compare this food to Casa Ole way over priced for what it is. Beside trying the happy hour out I probably won’t be stepping foot in here again.
