A little behind on posting the trip. First time going here. Wanted to try something different. The restaurant was clean and quiet. There were only 2 other people at the time. The bar has different options for drinks, and the menu is simple, which is nice when you have no clue what you want to eat. I went with the smoked turkey sandwich. It was huge, a lot of turkey, which made it kind of hard to eat, but it was still really good. My husband got a small millhouse salad, which was a very good size for a small order. He said the ranch dressing was very good and asked for another cup of it.
I will say the decor is very odd on the inside, but I guess it makes it unique in its own way. There are 2 chandeliers only on 1 side of the restaurant. I didn’t know what to expect due to the location being in River Ranch, which is more upscale than some areas in Lafayette.

So glad I finally came here!! It is gem in the middle of River Ranch !! Was expecting a sophisticated spot but upon entering it was so down to earth with a charming NOLA vibe going on!!
Service is spectacular, so nice and very accommodating.
We got the Bohemian Aubergine sandwich and the Apollonia salad with pastrami!! Both were excellent and the sandwich is a great choice for ppl who love veggies !! Salad was fresh and crisp with lots of olives, yum, and the pastrami was perfectly cooked/seasoned. Fries were hot and salty and delicious Would definitely recommend and plan to come back again!!

Great, quick dining experience. Ordered the Maybelle’s Bird sandwich, a small Caesar salad, and a cup of their soup of the day (Tomato Basil). The food was great and the servers were friendly and fast! Diners order their food at the register and can then seat themselves indoors or outdoors. There is complimentary water both inside and outside and all non-alcoholic drinks they sell are in bottles available near the register. Without sides or small plates, diners can expect to pay $12-17 per person.

New favorite weekend lunch spot! Service is personal and attentive. Relaxing and fun atmosphere. Outside seating a bonus on sunny days. I love the Tuna Stack and my wife said “Best burger” she’s had in Lafayette! We’ll be regulars.

First time to eat at Ninety 9 Bistro, and we will be back. Nice clean restaurant. Annie took care of us and she was great! The food was delicious, especially the grilled chicken. Very reasonable menu prices as well.

So it helps knowing what kind of place this is before making judgements on everything else. This is a very casual bar that tries to play as a bistro. The menu is inviting and not overwhelming, and everything we tried was passable. Our favorite part was the sauce that came with the pastrami fries – bottle that stuff up! My grief was from the fries not being crispy or having much flavor. The waitress admitted the fries are all frozen – paying clientele deserve better, especially for $16. The Cuban sandwich was crispy, but lacked much flavor and was dry in the middle. The spicy fries it came with were also the frozen variety and the seasoning didn’t taste like anything. For bar food, this is all what you can expect, but for a bistro, this is not very good. The atmosphere and service were fine.

Enjoying the breeze at my favorite lunch spot, Ninety9 Bistro, in River Ranch! Their Caesar Salad and Curly fries (guilty pleasure) make the most perfect comfort match! What keeps me coming back is the staff! I can come in with or without make up—dressed up or down—and they remember and greet me kindly everytime. They also recall my order since my second visit. Great food and great people!
