I had a very good meal today at Nina P’s. The atmosphere is nice, but not stuffy. Staff is very friendly. My order was the grilled chicken plate with grilled veggies (new year, new me) 😉 But I also added a side of mashed potatoes. The house salad was what you expect as it pretty basic, but the dressing was excellent. My meal was delicious and over a great experience. I will be happy to return.

The service was great, and the food was good. The portion was just right for me. Prices were reasonable considering the market prices now. Great server. Seated quickly in spite of the lunchtime crowd and food special was served promptly. Now sure if local seafood was used in preparing the meals. Will return to try other specials. A bit noisy environment due to the lunch crowd.

We had a wonderful experience at Nina P’s Café in Lake Charles. The staff was attentive without hovering, the food was flavorful and comforting, and the ambiance felt like the Louisiana I picture in my mind—warm, lively, and full of character. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer. Highly recommend!

We went and tried this place for the 1st time this week and were pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious. I would come back just for the fried green tomatoes alone! Enjoyed everything down to the freshly baked rolls. Service was great and food was some of the best we have had in Lake Charles.

Great Experience at Nina P’s in Lake Charles!

My wife, daughter, and I visited Nina P’s on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy, but the wait was only about 15 minutes. The hostess was friendly, took my number, and called as soon as our table was ready.

Our waitress was also very friendly and attentive. We all ordered sweet tea, and theirs is really good. My wife wasn’t very hungry, so she got the fried green tomatoes with the Louisiana Creole cream sauce. She really enjoyed the sauce but felt the tomatoes could have been cooked a bit longer. My daughter ordered the baked potato with crawfish cream sauce and absolutely loved it — it was huge and easily could’ve been shared! I had the brunch burger, and it was delicious. I’m picky about burgers, and this one was seasoned well, cooked perfectly, and served on a soft, flavorful sourdough bun.

The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas, with Christmas music playing, which added to the atmosphere. Both the men’s and women’s restrooms were clean, and there was plenty of parking.

We will definitely be back and highly recommend Nina P’s!

Nina P’s Cafe was good, our waitress was very attentive and came very quickly with everything. It was our first time there and she thoroughly explained the menu and made great suggestions of what to get. If you don’t like spicy food I wouldn’t do the egg rolls (although they were good, but they put jalapenos in them and I can’t deal with that much heat) otherwise I was able to eat one and it’s a mix of boudin balls, into a egg roll and then drowned in syrup and powdered sugar lol. It was good but a little too hot for me. I got the shrimp spud fully loaded and it was delicious! The shrimp was perfectly grilled and seasoned and the potato was the bomb!!!! I would recommend, but not a lot of choices for appetizers if you’re not looking for something spicy . Lol!! My husband got the Fried fish and shrimp with Creole sauce and it looked very tasty. He said it was very good!

Some of the best food I’ve had in my life. We started with a cup of their award winning chicken and sausage gumbo, and their boudin egg rolls. Both were excellent. For our main course we had the queso burger and the Bon Temps shrimp Po Boy with onion rings. I would highly recommend all of these items. The service and atmosphere were outstanding as well.

Best kept secret…Nina P’s Cafe. There are Plenty of parking spaces, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and Plenty of great food options to choose from. For an appetizer we had the Cajun Boudin Eggrolls with syrup with a dusting of powder sugar. This is beyond delicious. For my entree I had the Redfish Nina at around $30.00, it comes with Blackened redfish topped with our famous crawfish cream sauce. I had them add fried jumbo shrimp on top of it. It came with a small salad, fries and a soft roll .

I would highly recommend this spot if you haven’t been. My wife saw the reviews on TikTok and wanted to try it. We sat outside since it was a nice day and enjoyed ourselves. We waited for almost ten minutes before our server came out. She apologized and stated that she wasn’t aware of that we were out there. I’m assuming the young gentleman that sat us didn’t let her know. She was very pleasant and prompt after our order was taken. We would definitely visit again and have already told family to check Nina P’s out.

First time visit, found to be quaint, on the smaller side so tables are close together and pricey. Went on a Sunday and they were very busy with a wait list, being just my nephew and myself we were able to be seated right away at a small bistro table. Had fried mushrooms for an appetizer and they were very good. We had the Shrimp and Triple Threat Po-boys, with fries and onion rings. Everything was very good and came to the table so hot that we had to wait to start eating. Our waitress was courteous and did a great job. The only negative was the onion rings came out about 10 minutes after the entrees, but they were busy with every table taken. Our meal with one soda and a 20% tip was $78 so definitely on the pricey side.
