Classic country Supper Club. No reservations unless your party is 6 or more. Have a few cocktails while you wait for your table. Full salad bar and great steaks! One of the specialities is the gizzards they are on the salad bar and i definitely recommend that you at least try them, I was nervous at first but they are actually awesome! Excellent service every time!

Everything we ate met or superseded our expectations! The soup and salad bar has many choices on it, everything looked fresh on it every time we have eaten there. It’s a very laid back place and we felt very comfortable from the minute we walked in the door until the time left. I would very much suggest giving this place a try.

Love Nimrods! We come up to Asthelstane once a year to do some Atving. Nimrods is always a highlight of our trip. Bar staff is great. Friday fish fry is amazing! We love the salad bar and gizzards are well known across northern Wisconsin. Never left disappointed!

Food: Above average bar food burger and fries.

Stopped for dinner the day after lunch. Had the Tenderloin and Ribs combo and both were fantastic. They have a simple but fresh and good salad bar, including soup and gizzards (yuck). Dinner came with a loaf of bread, which was probably the weak part of the meal.

Had the Sunday family style chicken dinner with salad bar. The whole atmosphere was absolutely amazing. The old fashioneds are great. I got whiskey sour with mushrooms, husband got whiskey sweet with mushrooms. We want to go back to try the prime rib on Saturday. The staff was awesome. Our waitress Alex was so good and sweet. The bartender was super nice and the owners husband chatted with us for awhile. I highly recommend this place.

Very busy place. Reservations recommended. Very “up north” type supper club. They have gizzards on the salad bar. Both salad bar options and gizzards were very good. Our server oddly enough didn’t know what beer they had, she said she “wasn’t a bartender.” As a waitress for many years, knowing what is available is part of the job. The ribs were a big hit, steaks were great as well. Good side options, including a twice baked potato.

It was our first time trying Nimrod’s and it was very good. Had to wait for a table on a Sunday night about 20-30 minutes. They have a nice sized bar area where we waited with some drinks for our table. Once seated service was good and the food was amazing. I had the family style broasted chicken. Tasted like having Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma’s house. It was homemade and everything was spot on including the chicken which was crispy but not too greasy, mashed potatoes and gravy plus stuffing and corn were all excellent. My husband had the walleye and was given two huge portions of walleye. Again breading was crispy and not greasy, his twice baked potato was perfect also. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu!

We have been here several times. The prime rib is good, the salad bar is ok, but we just went on a Fri and ordered steak. It was horrific! A steak does not need 4lbs of butter. If you know how to cook a steak, it should taste fresh on its own. The texture was also not quite right. We were not going to say anything, but the waitress asked after noticing it remained untouched. We shared that it was not good. The “chef” came out to argue that it tasted like all their other steaks. Please respect my opinion then when I say, noted, we won’t order steaks here anymore. Instead, he became offended and rude and it trickled down to the waitress who also became very unfriendly. Please don’t ask for feedback of you don’t want it. We were just going to walk away quietly. We were not 1 time customers you never have to worry about again, but I can assure you, we will never be back. I would much rather support a deserving restaurant.
