Nimbus is a locally-owned and operated cafe in Trotwood that specializes in small batches of freshly roasted coffees sourced from small independent farms around the world. The Cafe purchases beans exclusively from Jegna Coffee Co., which are carefully roasted in small batches in an Artisan 6 fluid bed coffee roaster. Located on Main Street, Nimbus Comic Cafe features custom-roasted premium coffee from Ethiopia. The café’s specialty is using a pour-over brewing processes to enhance the robust character and flavor of each bean. Nimbus also serves healthy menu items such as breakfast sandwiches, fruit smoothies and wraps. Vintage comic books from Marvel & DC to Valiant are on display and for sale for avid collectors and newcomers alike.

I go to the counter no menu ask what they have and he says we only do drip coffee no other coffee. So I get a drip coffee and he starts telling me about the coffee beans trying to make conversation learned a lot about the Peaberry coffee bean.
He was super friendly, but wish they had more coffee and food couldn’t get the coffee ice or anything. It had to be hot and did not offer any cream or sugar.
When he handed me the coffee, he said we only do cash, but I thought it was weird cause there was a register right in front of him that took card. When I gave him the money he had to give me change out of his pocket and I thought that was kind of weird and no receipt was given. He said “I think they charge $3.00 so what is what I am going to charge you”.
Coffee was OK. I like pour overs, but wish I could get a flavor or a little cream and sugar.
July 2024 edit- Today I went to one of their Smell Good Sundays. I ate so much chicken and waffles I wanted to take a nap afterwards and I also bought some soap from a vendor. I recommend going whether it’s for the food or for the scents for sale.
