Always walked past and wondered about this place, so we finally decided to give it a try. The ambience was clean, but the music was quite random — a mix of Frozen songs and Disney tunes that didn’t really match the vibe. We ordered the omelette with noodles and a wagyu don.

The wagyu don was dry and lacking in flavour, while the omelette was decent but mostly saved by the mayo drizzle on top. Overall, both dishes were fairly average — nothing particularly memorable.

• Salmon Spicy Mayo ($5.9)
• Argentina Red Shrimp ($5.9)
• Unagi Tamago ($5.9)

I stopped by for dinner and was greeted by kind workers and a beautiful dining area. It was quiet and the food came promptly. My meal was was excellent, and the portion size was unexpected for the low price I paid. I was very happy with everything 🙂

Came with a friend to get dinner here. We were quickly seated which was nice. The beef tataki was tasty however the main dish that we ordered, the Wagyu Sukiyaki was way too salty. We didn’t even end up finishing the sukiyaki despite sharing it between the two of us because it was too salty.

The food looked good in the photos but that was about it. I would probably say it’s not worth the price.

Just had an amazing experience at Niki Shiki in Melbourne CBD, absolutely worth five stars.

I took advantage of their buy one, get one free temaki roll deal and the rolls were delicious. Each bite was fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. The free part of the deal made it feel like an even better value.

The atmosphere was on point too, modern, inviting and comfortable for hanging out without feeling rushed. The service was friendly and attentive, which added to the positive vibe.

Ordered a wagyu grill teppanyaki. I go to this restaurant a lot and I can 1000% say that this restaurant is inconsistent. When it’s good, the grill wagyu is amazing. But the food has been SO BAD for the last month. I don’t know why. The wagyu is pretty much WELL DONE and it has no sauce at all. Basically, I eat plain rubber meat and it’s so DRY, i almost choked when i ate it and I paid 34 AUD for this? What a joke. I’m going to stop eating at this restaurant until they fix their SOP or whatever it is

Ordered the wagyu steak don which is different to the Angus beef steak don. Asked the waitress if this was correct and she said it was. Does not look at all like in the menu, last time I ate here it was exactly like the menu and delicious.

This time the meat was tough and tasted like regular beef…

Fantastic place. All-you-can-eat for an affordable price, whilst the meats were fresh. The tataki was also very delicious, whilst the side dishes were also good. Service were attentive, whilst the atmosphere was also nice. Would recommend a visit.

What a fantastic place. Highly recommend eating here. We ordered the waggu beef sukiyaki banquet. It was more than enough for 2 people and maybe just enough for 3 people.the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food came out pretty fast after ordering as well. We hadn’t done sukiyaki before and didn’t know what to eat or what to do at first, so the staff talked us through it. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. The photos are missing a couple of extra dishes we received such as the yoga’s which were full of delicious flavour. A must try.

Was a bit disappointed with the food, really looking forward to it beforehand. The beef slices on the rice had no taste and overcooked, the raw slices were below the quality of all you can eat, I am sorry but not worth the price….
