We’re Nikos Grill & Pub, and we’ve been a restaurant in Marengo, IL, since 2010. We offer a wide selection of services, including dine-in, take-out, and catering. Where do I start? We reserved one of the igloos for dinner. Reservation and deposit process made easy. The ambiance was spectacular and the igloo was heated to our liking. No shortcuts on drinks and they were made perfectly. Food was steaming hot and I had an expectation it would have lost some heat in transport. My daughters loved the decorations and the Bluetooth speaker in which we played whatever we wanted. All in all we have never had an issue with this restaurant inside, banquet or igloo! Niko and his staff always hit it out of the park when it comes to customer attention and details in service. Definitely coming back!

Very busy. We were there on a Friday night and the server took forever to take our order. Then she said they had a party of 19 in the building and it was going to take a while for our food. No problem. When I ordered the wedge salad with salmon, she said they were out of wedge salads. It did take a while to get out food, but we were visiting, so we didn’t mind the wait at all. The food was very good. The martinis at the bar were spectacular and worth every penny. We will be back.

Food was decent. We splurged and got steak and crab legs. Can’t go wrong with those. Steak was very tender, but dryish. Steak my kid got was bland. Mine was ok, overwhelmed with wine. Nice service. Was pricey.

Very Nice place to eat. The inside of the place if very nice. Especially with the Valentines Decorations. They did not put up to much, nor too less. Just right! It did take some time to get our order. Our food did come out good, another place to go if you really want to get stuffed. With the ribs I got, came with a side, and a soup or Salad. The salad really does fill you up when started. And they have a large variety of sauce! With my favorite, thousand Island! I only finished 1/2 of the ribs because of how big they were. The deserts look soooooo good. Sadly, I did not get any, they looked delicious. And the last important detail is that the restrooms were better than I thought. Really nice colors to make the room so modern.

We had the best din din. Thursday is $1/$2 oysters. Raw or baked (Rockefeller style). We also enjoyed the baked French onion soup. Plus fresh, hot, outta da oven bread to dunk.
Service was great. Food was so yummy. Drinks were perfect.
Lots of tables and plenty of room at the bar with comfy big butt seats. Highly recommend.

Everything at this restaurant was delicious. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a pleasant dinner. The music, drinks, and excellent service stand out, creating a cozy and enjoyable atmosphere. Definitely a place I would recommend and return to.

This is absolutely NOT a dive bar, as I’ve seen it listed. Best I can describe is tavern/Cracker Barrel/Supper Club. The dishes are large and the complementary fresh and hot bread is excellent. The tables are preset with fabric napkin rolled dinnerware and water glasses. The bathrooms have lotion at the sinks. I’ve driven by here 100x on my way back to Rockford via the “back roads” and finally stopped in, will definitely be back.

Made reservations for the igloo and they were so cute! The ambience and the setting were perfect and overall the location is really nice. The cheese curds and calamari were good but the overall entrees were not great. My chicken marsala came out and looked like a gravy, it had such an unusual taste, definitely not like the marsala wine consistency should be. The chicken was so bland that after I scraped off the gravy goop, I couldn’t eat the chicken either. The steak Diane had a similar gravy and was overall salty. The server couldn’t tell the steak and chicken entrees (they had a similar thick brown gravy) apart and there is no way that the two entrees should look remotely like the other. Carrot cake was okay but the chocolate cake tasted stale, it was very hard and tough to eat. Also our igloo was missing lights and some kept going in and out and while it didn’t impact the overall ambience, it just felt like a weird maintenance oversight that should have been remedied. We love the Pingree Nikos so we were excited to try this one but we will not be returning.
