Today, I had the MOST Satisfying Salad – I know, satisfying and salad aren’t usually words that find themselves next to each other in a sentence – but it’s true! I just wish I’d thought to take a photo before I’d eaten half of it!!! Seriously, this was the largest, freshest, most delightful salad I’ve had in a long time.
I said to a friend “Usually when I order a salad, it makes me sad! But this is the happiest salad in Putnam!”

Eating at Nikki’s Dog House was a nostalgic and very enjoyable experience! Super clean establishment with festive decor and great updates by the new management! Hot dogs came out quickly despite the busyness. We got a VIP parking spot right by the storefront. Couldn’t have been any closer! Parking is easy to come by when you’re looking in the right places. Our dogs were hot and delicious – nothing “chilly” about these chili dogs! We also got all the toppings that our hearts desired. Prices are great when your grandma pays. A great spot for family bonding!

I went here yesterday and had the chili & ice cream! What a great little lunch place. They serve way more than just hotdogs. Can’t wait to try the huge chicken salad next! Thanks for hosting the Crowded Table gathering – great time!

Great place to get some steamed bun hit dogs. Been around forever, so you know they have to be doing something right. We stood around for a little while before we got someone to take our order, but once she came, she was super nice. Have really good hot dogs and a good selection to choose from. It is located in an easy in and out spot in Putnam with lots of other walkable places a bout. Good summer, place to grab some ice cream as well. Think I prefer Famous Frank’s a little more due to their butter grilled buns, but you can’t go wrong at Nikkis.

Order at counter. Pickup food when called. We had their veggie hot dogs. Just ok. Ordered a side of lime cilantro slaw. Very dry and not creamy. Literally just lime juice on slaw with pieces of cilantro. A creamy lime cilantro dressing would have been better.

We ordered a burger and fries with 2 chilly cheese dogs with sour Kraut ,catchup and mustard.
Atmosphere is that of the late 80’s early 90’s and the music was a pleasant mix suiting the atmosphere
Zero complaints about the food , perfect in my opinion
Burger was cooked perfectly , flavorful and the Chilly was flavorful not over or under spiced
Easy access parking in the rear , A fee spots out front but seem to be occupied quickly
Over all good experience and will try something else when we return !

A local staple with not only classic food done well but delightful and fun specials throughout the week keep you coming back. A large menu offers food for everyone, every the pickiest of eaters. Highly recommend the tacos and of course the coney dog. Grab food to go or stay and enjoy downtown Putnam.

Went to Putnam for lunch this afternoon, love coming into the town of Putnam. Have been wanting to try Nikki’s for a while now, ended up getting a couple burgers which were delicious, a large fry and a shake. The town has so much to explore and some very beautiful architecture. If you have the day to explore definitely want to make your way into Putnam.

Nikki’s is pretty great in a good location with an old school vibe. Love that they have vegan dogs. That’s what got me in there. My only complaint is the cilantro. It didn’t mention it on the menu for the item I chose, must have been a slaw ingredient. I hate cilantro.
