At first glance, the menu gave us a bit of sticker shock. Still, we decided to give the food a chance and we are glad we did. We ordered the sake sashimi, the Barbie roll, and the Angel roll. When the dishes arrived, we understood the value. Each piece was not just sushi, but art. Every detail was crafted with intention, each bite a perfect marriage of flavors, balancing freshness with creativity.
The service was kind and attentive, making us feel truly cared for throughout the evening. What began as curiosity ended as conviction: Nikki Sushi and Steak is more than a meal, it is an experience worth savoring. We will certainly be returning, and next time with anticipation rather than hesitation.
I also asked for no orange fish eggs on the tempura shrimp roll and of course there were eggs so I had to pick them off. To top it all off this sweet potato sushi roll and the green veggie roll was very dry chewy overcooked and COLD probably days old. Tasted disgusting ! Worst experience I’ve had with this restaurant! Extremely disappointed! Definitely not worth $65!
I have family coming into town and was planning on to take them to this restaurant, but I’m not anymore. They just lost my business!
First time here, the service was friendly. Atmosphere was okay due to the restaurant seem a bit disorganized.
For food, the sushi was also on the on the expensive side, there are cheaper options but at the same time some of these options should be cheaper compare to other shops. The wait is a little long so make sure you order some appetizers.
Overall the food was decent, if you want a nice waterfront view eating sushi in the evening this is a great spot for it.
The staff is pleasant and efficient. They always greet us with the familiarity of regulars and provide stellar service every time. It’s a great, family-owned restaurant—very clean with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Highly recommend!
Clean tables. Good service. Good food (both sushi and grilled items). Only thing I’ve yet to try here is the steak selection. Their bartender also knows how to make a good drink (and she’s got good ingredients to work with behind bar).
Cannot say enough good things about this place.
Also, sitting and watching their sushi chef, he puts effort into his displays. I’ve watched him carefully and gently arrange his dishes before they come out. Presentation and care of the food is present here. Details aren’t missed.
The only thing I’d suggest for this place if your wanting to visit is if you plan on bringing a date or coming on a weekend/holiday, make reservations. Their seating is a bit limited (but spacious within the seating arrangements themselves).
They also work with DoorDash for food delivery from what I noticed and were quick to process the orders and get them into the system for the cooks to begin their work immediately (aka dashers aren’t having to wait long because their staff is on top of it).
Again, highly recommend! A great place for dates, lunch meetings, or just a night out with yourself for some good food.
Service has always been prompt and courteous, although I wish they’d allow the employees to stop wearing those ridiculous masks.
My personal favorite is the Hot Samurai roll. It is baked and has a slightly sweet, slightly spicy (less than a spicy tuna) flavor. Also look for the Rainbow roll.
They have a really great bar – if you ever want to catch a sports fame and all the bars are too busy, this is a great option to try. They also have a mice outdoor patio in the warmer weather.
All our family likes all type of Hibachi and Yakisoba and my kids are in love with Hot Samurai Sushi.
Is the best Sushi place in all Oregon.
