I liked this place. After a procedure at one of the nearby health facilities, I found this place on Maps and since I had to fast for my procedure, I was very hungry coming in. This place did not disappoint. We sat down and quickly were served by Ashley who did a great job getting us water and drinks. She answered all our questions, laughed at our jokes and brought a few of her own.
Our cream of mushroom soup came fast and really hit the spot for me. Our sandwiches came right after and we’re all fresh and delicious. They gave me a healthy amount of tuna salad on my tuna melt which was delicious. Fries were crispy and tasty. They even gave us a senior discount even though one us was not quite that old yet. Haha.

Arrived for my birthday for lunch at 2:20, place closes at 2:30. Hostess sat us after I asked if we are to late to eat. Advised will be party of 4, she mumbled and said no.
Waitress asked if we are ready to order. I stated we have 2 other guest arriving shortly. She cringed and asked manager if she can serve us, manager said no. Stated they have to pay their cooks $30.00 hour. Not my problem. We decided to go somewhere else since they denied service. They allowed a single man to join his friends after we were refused and claims he was not ordering. Will not go into this place again.

One of our family favorites – we come here all the time. Yes, it’s been around for a long time so the atmosphere is a little rough around the edges BUT the pancakes are the best, the waffles are great too, and the soup is always yummy. I realized that a picture of the breakfast menu is not available on here so I snapped a couple quick picks.

We were on a road trip from IA to Chicago and this was a stop before getting on the tollway. Service was great, food and atmosphere were what you’d expect. Typical diner type food that was good. Milkshake was pretty basic, biscuits and gravy seemed canned or prepackaged, hash browns(not pictured) were cooked well and crispy, pecan waffle was delicious.

The waitress was busy, yet she took time in between serving others to see if we needed any refills etc.. This restaurant is busy from the time they open to the time it closes. Very good food and they serve you more than enough food. We had breakfast from their $10.00 breakfast menu. 2 eggs, bacon, (biscuits and gravy) as a selected side choice. Served Hot & was delicious.

I ordered the senior special for 7.00 (big) Chicken salad very fresh and crispy include soup of the day, desert and fresh baked rolls. My onions, croutons, homemade creamy garlic dressing, and cottage cheese couldn’t be on the plate to as you can see why. Everything was delicious. The waitress was very helpful and polite. The entire family will enjoy any food item from here always fresh and delicious to your liking. Most of all clean, and entire staff nice
