We had such an amazing experience at Nifty Fifty’s (Northeast Philadelphia location), and a huge part of that was because of our server Kayla W. and staff member Danny!
We were traveling from Boston, and Kayla was one of the many incredibly hospitable people we met in Philadelphia — but she truly stood out. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, bubbly, attentive, and so personable. Her menu recommendations were perfect, and she checked back with us just the right amount to make sure everything was great without ever feeling rushed.
After we went to Otherworld (which is right across the street), Kayla even gave us super curated milkshake recommendations that were exactly what we needed. She was happy to chat with us about our trip and our experience, and you could tell she genuinely cares about her guests. She’s clearly very hardworking and absolutely amazing at what she does.
Danny was also incredibly kind and welcoming, adding to the overall fun and friendly vibe of the place. Together, they made our visit feel special and memorable.
Between the great food, the fun atmosphere, and the outstanding service, this was such a highlight of our trip. Kayla deserves major recognition — if you’re lucky enough to have her as your server, you’re in for a great time!

The food is terrific and you get plenty. I had so much food that I had to take the rest home for another meal. The staff was great and polite. I recommend trying this place.

My friend got belgian waffle and banana cream pie shake.
I had hamburger with fries and mango shake.
Were both agreed the shake was too sweet.
My burger was dry and no flavor, the buns toast a bit too long I wanted just to warm up no need them to toast it till the rim of the bun was crispy.

Kayla, was our waitress. From the moment she approached our table she was extremely pleasant and friendly! We had a table full of hyper 10 yr old boys (one was the birthday boy) and she handled them like a total pro! She even had everyone come sing Happy Birthday. We ended our night here and she definitely made the end of the birthday night wonderful!

The food is made-to-order and far superior to standard fast food. They have burgers, fries and massive milkshake menu. They serve a solid breakfast that hits the spot.

We had such a great visit on February 10th! Even though I always have a great visit here, but they really made my son’s birthday breakfast meal special! I am forever grateful! Nifty Fifty is a great spot—especially since it’s open late at night. It definitely surprised us with its charming 50s-style diner vibe, but what really stood out were the milkshake options. We tried the Brownie Cookie Batter milkshake and the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough milkshake—both were delicious. We also ordered cheese fries and a small chicken nuggets, and just a heads-up—the portions are huge! We got smalls and still couldn’t finish everything, even while splitting it.
The staff was friendly, though it did take a bit to get water and place our order. I’d definitely go back when a solid milkshake craving hits. The fries were decent—nothing mind-blowing—but the seasoning on the chicken nuggets was a little odd and might catch some people off guard. I personally liked it.

I had dinner here a few weeks ago with my sisters because we noticed it right across the street as we were leaving Otherworld and loved the classic theme and aesthetic from the outside. When we got inside we were in no way disappointed. Despite being a very busy holiday weekend we waited no more than 10 minutes to be seated because the entire staff stayed attentive and productive. Our waitress, (maybe named Kylee, it was a few weeks ago, I don’t remember for certain) was so sweet and helpful and made sure we wanted for nothing. Though the food itself wasn’t anything amazing, it certainly wasn’t bad, especially considering the price and how quickly it was served. There is an enormous selection of milkshakes, and each of the three flavors my sisters and tried were so good that we’ll definitely stop back to try more flavors the next time we’re in the area.

So pleasantly surprised. This place is CLEAN. No smears or fingerprints on windows, no crumbs on tables or booth seats, no dust on ceiling fans or vents. And the food!!!! Omelette, hot dog, fries, hashbrowns, lots of flavor and NO GREASE. Everything came out exactly how we ordered it, and with a smile. Waitress Ruth and another employee Angelo were friendly and attentive. $25 for two people and leftovers. This place is top notch, check it out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!!!!
