This is the second time this happened. I gave the restaurant/door dash delivery driver the benefit of the doubt the first time. But this is unsatisfactory. I even left a tip. I’m taking my businesses someplace else and I recommend anyone in the Oro Valley/Marana area to do the same. It’s like they made it and either tossed it in the delivery bag for the driver, or the driver shook it up.

I have been coming here since in first opened. TODAY I was met with a surprise. Their main cook was taking orders. His name is Juan, and he was fabulous! Fast to take the order, accurately done, polite, and ‘yes’ he speaks English well. Then the SURPRISE. Drove over to order breakfast burritos for the family on 11/23/25 at 8:30 (opens at 8:00 AM) and there was a worker in the kitchen but the door was locked. With my knocking and waving my hands to the person in the kitchen, looked and completely ignored me. Hard to believe this place can stay in business. Amazing food, amazing service! The employees at this location made me feel super comfortable at their restaurant. They were very patient with me while I decided what to order and recommended a great meal at a decent price. My daughter and I needed to grab a sofa on this side of town and were feeling hungry, so we decided to try Nico’s on Thornydale. A couple of things stood out: I always pay attention to cleanliness, and I was thoroughly impressed when I walked into the restroom—super clean! I ordered the super nachos, while my daughter went for the Carne Asada burrito. Both dishes were well-portioned and expertly made. The salsas were delicious, though the green salsa could have used a bit more kick. Overall, I give it a 5 out of 5! Clean establishment, great food, and friendly staff. If I’m ever in the area again, this will definitely be my go-to spot!

I want to start off by saying I generally like nicos and have never had a bad experience prior to tonight. We did not get the combination platter that we ordered and my tostada was burnt in general. I would recommend this location, but I guess I would suggest to double check your food before you take it to go
