So grateful for these friendly hardworking folks at Nicky’s. I don’t know how they got there and opened up when we passed Chikfilet and McDonald’s that weren’t. We have been without power and water for 4 days and decided to spend a night at a hotel. Nicky’s was open at 10:30 am to feed us! So grateful It was so good !

My go to Mexican food place. We eat here at least once per week. The chicken fajitas are to die for. The servers are great and they all recognize you and know what you want…or at least they do us.

In town in business, place was right across from our hotel, in walking distance so figured why not give it a shot. Glad we did.
Great place to grab dinner, laid back atmosphere. Food was delicious. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Nice bar, even had a live band the night we stopped in. If definitely eat here again if back in the area.

My impression about Mexican restaurants in the south are more authentic but Nickys proved it wrong. The food was very blend compared to other Mexixan restaurants I have been to. It’s may be the vegetarian enchilada that I got. I did not have any bad experience though. I stayed across this restaurant so it was very handy to walk down to this place on a great weather. Loved their dessert though. They really have great menu.

The grease the food is cooked in tastes like fish from long John silvers. The onion rings were so burnt n hard, burger was nasty n dry also. Our waitress left and disappeared for 20 mins..the manager came over n got the nasty food off the table. Didn’t apologize or anything. We won’t be back.

Was staying in the Holiday Inn, so I walked over. Waitress recommended Carne Asada. It was delicious and cooked to perfection. Fried ice cream was good, but have had better. I would highly recommend the Carne Asada though!

Let me start with stating the service was great. Abby, the waitress, was very professional, courteous, happy, cheerful, attentive and all out great. I read previous writeups and sadly enough service was not great but today was the opposite. The steak fajitas were outstanding. The chips and salsa on point. The restaurant is clean and the food came out pretty fast and very hot. Beware. If anything, I’m use to eating flan for dessert and they don’t sell it. No big deal. They do sell fried ice cream though. If visiting Bossier City you have to give it a try. Ask for Abby as your waitress. I recommended management read the writeups and provide feedback. We will see.

I ate at this restaurant last night. Four dinners cost about $62 bucks with tip. The chips were a little thick and the salsa was not to my liking, too much like plain tomato sauce. It’s a little high for Mexican, but what I got was great! I ordered the deep fried chicken stuffed avocado for 12 bucks. It comes with Mexican rice and some mostly lettuce salad. It tasted great. My wife had a chicken, cheese and onion dish called queso flameado, which she wrapped in tortillas and ate like a fajita. The service was just ok due to a full restaurant I suspect. We had to ask for our waitress at one point. Hardly anyone was wearing masks and the place was at capacity with a band playing on the patio. I would have given it 5 stars if the food, prices and service were better. The food was good.

This was my first time trying Nicky’s. I have passed them all over the Shreveport area but have avoided trying them for the bad reviews.

The restaurant is quite large. I was seated quickly and the chips & salsa were brought right out. The chips are a thicker yellow corn variety and the salsa is of quite a thin consistency. The salsa had some kick but was lacking in flavor. The isn’t the place I would go if I was craving chips & salsa.

I ate here at lunch and tried the Crawfish Enchiladas. I knew if I didn’t try them, I would wish I had of. These did not disappoint. Very flavorful and yummy. Kinda like enchiladas etouffée. The only thing I would change is there sauce on top was kinda lukewarm and needed to be hotter. The rice was ok but not spectacular. One unexpected highlight of the meal was the salad. The dressing for it was incredible.

The waitress who has been there many years was a delight. She was informative and personable.

My biggest issue came at the end when I saw they were adding 4% to anyone who uses a payment method other than cash. That alone will probably keep me from going back.
