There was no manager on site, four workers in the front standing in front of where the food is served eating sandwiches, and french fries and playing poker for money on the very table that the food is served on to be handed to the customer. I asked for the manager and then I was told there was no managers there so they sent one of the cooks out front and I asked him was he safe food certified and he said yes at that point I asked him what part of this is actually legal? This was the most disgusting restaurant I’ve ever been in as far as safe food handling is concerned they will never see my face in there again, and they did get a piece of my mind At that time they know exactly how I feel! Look at the photos below and zoom in and you can see what I’m talking about. I hope the health department gets involved in this and puts a stop to it. It should be shut down

Decide to call in a to go order to have food for work… decent price on burgers but the tacos are expensive. I asked what come on em for American style I was told lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream. Take a bite no cheese instead salsa. They offer for me to bring em back but I’m on my way to work with now no food and a waste of $20 I asked for a credit to come back another time and get tacos I can actually eat and was told no…so they mess up my food and now iv wasted $20 thanks. Not coming back.

Ordered the Gyro and torta. Both were portioned very well, tasted great and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was nice and quiet with a TV playing for added entertainment. Became a new favorite of mine and will definitely be going back whenever I’m in the area again.

Of all my years of ordering gyros in NWI and Chicago I never received a gyro plate that was so stingy with meat was barely enough for one and paid $14 which was even worse. But adds a dill who adds a pickle to a gyro plate with no meat and joke of fries. Never again NEVERRRRRRRR , now have to travel to other areas in the region for good gyros

You failed at that, and no longer have my business. Not fixing food you messed up or not giving a credit for the food that was messed up is not an option.

Went thru the drive thru. Best hot crinkle fries I’ve had in a couple years. Nice and hot. But I ordered 2 hot dogs and they were COLD only a mile away. I had a Dr. appointment in Michigan City and didn’t have time to turn around to ask if I could at least get them microwaved. Hope that is not the normal.

This place is awful. Very disappointing this place used to be great. But it’s just awful now. The food is trashed poorly made. The place looks disgusting inside and needs deep cleaning and remodeling. If you’re going to be an owner of a restaurant you should at least make sure it looks good. I don’t understand how you can own a restaurant or business but your building or restaurant looks like trash and slowly falling apart over the years is that how you want to represent your name to who ever owns Nicky’s.
