Nicky D’s is one of the few coney islands I patronize. The food is usually fresh and tasty. On Wednesday, January 27, I called in an order for two grill chicken Greek salads. The salads were prepared exactly as I ordered. The problem was the lettuce was not fresh (brown edges) and the ranch dressing was watery. Usually, their salads are made with fresh lettuce and the ranch dressing is thicker and creamer. I was disappointed. I do plan to order salads from them again but I would like fresh lettuce and thicker, creamier ranch dressing.

Great food, especially breakfast. Dine in experience is usually good. There is an apparent issue with loitering alcoholics who are regulars, constantly disturbing customers, panhandling and being a harassment to the cahiers and servers. Today I overheard one man engaging in a loud and disgusting conversation with another man about threatening to do unsanitary things in the bathroom! I then watched as this same dude began to argue with the cashier and be disrespectful, when she confronted him about smoking in their restroom and hanging out in there all day. She threatened to call the police. He had ordered a meal, just to be able to stay, which should never have happened! Meanwhile two men were in the back cooking, and not engaging the situation! I told the cashier that this type of person brings down the morale, makes the environment unwelcoming, and can cost them business; and that there shouldn’t be anyone allowed to disrespect the staff, while there are men on duty, being unsupportive. I told her I would not work in an environment like that, I’d have quit, safety and sanity is everything. They work hard and don’t deserve that treatment. Everyone doesn’t always want to eat on the run, sometimes they would like to come in to eat. However, I see why so many restaurants don’t have a dining area anymore, or bathrooms. Unsavory people ruin it for everyone. Last time returning.

Customer service is null and void! Rude, ignorant and miserable people with zero Customer service etiquette. We placed an order on the phone and was told 15 minutes, waited 30 minutes and asked about the status of the order and was basically cursed out saying we need to wait because they are the only restaurant open on Christmas Eve. Sorry not my problem! Don’t say something will be ready and its not ready after double the time. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Called in a order , and had the worst experience that I could have at this restaurant. I ordered nachos and to my surprise instead of just charging an extra $2,3,4 or $5 they charged 9 dollars for steak on nachos. Okay fair enough; but then I order a Greek salad and I asked for crispy chicken and they gave me grilled . When I called to complain about it, they put me on hold and eventually when they came back they said that I need to bring the food back tonight to have it fixed properly because nobody knows crispy chicken is fried chicken. I was already nice about the $9 overcharging for steak but to sit there and act like you can’t replace my food that y’all messed up on it’s crazy. Being in training is no excuse. At the end of the day I confirmed when I came in to pick up my order and asked was it a Greek crispy chicken salad. AND WAS TOLD YES ! I was told that the order taker was confused…she admitted she made the mistake. What should’ve happened next is someone putting my name down for a replacement instead of making it seem unreasonable that I didn’t want to come back out the house with a two year old .. Honestly will never buy food from here again. To tell me to hold on to food til another day is diabolical especially when y’all made the error and you don’t know where I traveled from is inconsiderate also. Anyways stay blessed ppl; peace and power to y’all .

Waitress has poor customer service there. They always attitudy especially the red hair Afro girl that works on Monday nights into Tuesday mornings. I don’t usually come to this Coney Island but the last 2x I came it’s the same attitudy girl. They greet you uncomfortably and bag food sloppy as hell. After that I just got a refund. She short me $1.00. So, I had to go back in to get my money. Guess she thought she deserved a $1.00 tip. NEVER‼️ and I love to tip literally.

Food was not so great. Felt like it had been sitting for 8 hours. Wasn’t even what I wanted. I asked (paid) for 5 eggs only received two. Received a small coffee, paid for a medium. Grits were cold with butter on them that wasn’t melted. I guess I went tthere to much for breakfast. Not feeling to good after I ate it

I stopped doing Doordash because I ask for no tomatoes and they kept putting them on there. It happened 3 times. Today, I called and said not tomatoes and they put them on them anyway. What is so hard to understand no tomatoes!? I think I need to call a lawyer, it is a medical reason I said no tomatoes.
