We went to Nick’s Taverna when there was a torrential downpour. So there weren’t that many dining during that time.

I ordered the Greek Salad with Chicken. It was really great. The chicken was grilled and had a little char on it, which I love. The seasoning on the chicken also tasted wonderful and was cooked perfectly, not dry. I would definitely order again. The Greek dressing was homemade and was excellent.

My husband got the Gyro (Lamb) and he said it was very good. Mediterranean Fries came with it and they were excellent.

The waiter was attentive and refilled our water glasses and asked if we needed anything. He was great!

We’ll definitely be returning to Nick’s soon. It’s very close to where we live and it was a nice meal that didn’t feel “heavy”.

This review is based on my personal experience as a Consumer and Chef.

**Highlights:**
When I arrived, there was a group of about 30 people who hadn’t yet received their food. In my case, I had time, and we waited without a problem.

* Welcome & Management: 7/10
* Waiter: 7/10

**Meal**
**Classic hummus 8/10 (complementary for the wait, they serve it with fried pita bread.

**Fried calamari, served with marinara 8/10

**Mediterranean Chicken 10/10
Half roasted chicken | Greek potatoes | Fettoush | garlic paste

**Lamb Shank 8/10
Tender bone-in lamb | savory tomato sauce | Basmati rice | green beans (FYI they serve green beans in marinara sauce)

**Final Thoughts:**

The place is nice. It wasn’t a bad experience overall. There are some things I probably won’t try again, but I will return to try other dishes or items I haven’t experienced yet.
I recommend you go and try it. Inside. The place is beautiful.

It was our first time dining at Nick’s Taverna. The front desk and food service were good. The food was very tasty and piping hot when served at the table. The server checked at intervals about our food and if more orders.

Just OK.
I ordered the chicken kabob and it’s not my favorite. The chicken is dry and there’s a dollop of sauce on it. Personally just not my go-to for Mediterranean. First time here and probably won’t come back anytime soon.

Staff were very friendly though!

This will make the 3rd and LAST time we eat at Nick’s Taverna. The first time, the food was decent (I grew up eating Greek Cuisine). That time the bartender Dujuan, mistakenly made a drink that I ordered with another bartender- no big deal. He apologized and placed it in the freezer at the bar right in front of me…which was odd. The 2nd time we dined, the bartender (can’t recall his name) was very pleasant, however the potatoes accompanying one of the entrees were heavily over seasoned.
So today, we came in a bit early and were greeted by Dujuan and someone he identified as his manager. This unknown person advised of their ‘happy hour’ drink specials, one of which was Tito’s half off. I asked for a Tito’s mule and he told me that would not apply. Apparently not with any juices OR sodas (seemingly according to Dejuan even LIME juice????). When I questioned it, it made for an awkward dining experience. When we received our check, we saw that the drink was in fact doubled in price- and when asked, he replied “I don’t make the rules”. It was really such a ridiculous thing- but what made it much more than ridiculous was when he abruptly grabbed our plates, actually hitting my phone as we were exiting. UTTERLY UNACCEPTABLE

Called an order in and told them no red sauce on the 2 orders of lamb shanks. They said no problem. They was red sauce on the lamb shanks plus the mediterrean chicken I ordered was over cooked. I talked to the manager and he offered 2 orders of rice. Really, will not go there again. 2nd problem won’t be a third. Manager was very unprofessional too.

Friendly and timely service, and the food was good. The waitress kept checking on us to see if we were good. The courtesy chips were a bit stale but otherwise, good experience. Will go back for sure.

I’ve ordered carry out from here a lot, eaten in the restaurant or bar a fair amount, and I feel like I need to finally leave a review. I really like this restaurant, it’s very consistent high quality Greek cuisine with a great variety on the menu, and excellent service. Greek food is very healthy and delicious, I highly recommend Nicks!
