On our way to Panama City we stopped here. Best meal of the trip. Haven’t had a good meal since. Great value, fantastic seafood, friendly service. Building is past it’s prime – feels a bit like a dive bar. That’s part of the charm. Would happily return. Had the tile fish sandwich – awesome.

Stopped here on our way home, the food is good. I couldn’t believe it was $25 for a 1/2 pound of steamed shrimp.
I had blackened skewered shrimp and it was delicious. The cheese grits were good. Hushpuppies were good.
Service was good. View was pretty.

Service was great, food was beyond excellent and so hot we could barely eat it when it hit the table. As Florida natives we are so grateful to stumble upon a hidden gem like this. And we will definitely be back!

Damn good food & a great view. The alligator bites were the most tender ones we’ve ever had. The fried grouper is big, flaky pieces of delicious fish fried to golden perfection. The red potatoes & fried squash taste like they came out of grandma’s kitchen & I’m not exaggerating. I’m from the middle of nowhere in Alabama & this is the closest thing to soul food I’ve had in this neck of the woods. Don’t skip this one, it’s good yall!

Great place for fresh food and family atmosphere (can get a bit noisey but nothing that took away from our dining experience). Extremely clean facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Read the board for the specials! We will be dining here again! Thank you ! We had the grilled shrimp, blackened grouper and crabclaws. They also have the best cocktail sauce ever.

Stopped in on 6/22 around 7PM. Not much seafood…only Tile fish and trout…its winter, I get it. We both orders a beer and the large salad, one with grilled chicken, the other with grilled shrimp and a couple sides. Beers came out followed shortly with the salads. All good. Waited for our server (Natalie, I think) to follow up…beers empty and the two sides not out yet. We started eating. She never came back. There was another female server there that walked by us probably 10 times and never spoke. We choked down our meal waited, and waited, and waited. Finally walked up to bar to get check and asked about our server. The “other girl” with a snarled smile just said…”she went home” and walked away. Obviously there’s a cat fight going on. I spoke my peace to the older lady behind d the bar only to get a “I’m sooo sorry”. I told her it was way too late for that. I left a small tip for the cooks and will never go back. Knowing our server was not in the house and no one letting us know or tsking care of us…Nope. There’s enough reviews here about poor service…I should have read through them better.

True local hangout with fresh crabs, fresh fish, and more! Off of the beaten path on Hwy 20 (north of Sandestin) in Basin Bayou. Always relaxing and “ain’t nothing fancy, but a good time”!

You just can’t beat it. The price is very reasonable and the food is outstanding every time. Blackened shrimp is cooked perfectly and the seasoning is spot on. Gumbo is out of this world. Simple ingredients but very complex flavors. Perfect amount of spiciness to it. 10 out of 10 for sure!

Stopped in for lunch. Great view of Choctaw Beach and the food was hot and tasty! The waitress was friendly and helpful. The cook came out and gave us some extra fries and asked how the food was. Great roadside restaurant!
