This place is worth driving out of the way for.
We were greeted by Carlos who was extremely friendly and helped breakdown the menu. It was busy and we never felt pressured or rushed.
I ordered a classic Italian and my family had the eggplant parm and meatball.
They were so good I went back to the counter to order a chicken cutlet to go. I told him I wanted it for my flight and he wrapped it nicely without the condiments so it wouldn’t get soggy and gave them to me on the side. When we were done he came by with boxes and bags for the sandwiches we did not finish. We all loved our food.
Place was super clean. Wish we lived closer!!!

Amazing customer service and ambiance, was greeted before i stepped fully in the door and that says a lot. Reminds me of a really great old school Italian deli. Staff was very helpful in selection and recommendations. My usual is an Italian, but they don’t have exactly that, they have something which is basically the same which is the ham, salami and mutz, added lettuce, tomato, onion and oil. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST SANDWICHES IVE HAD EVER PERIOD NOT JUST JERSEY. Really high quality ingredients, produce amazing quality, the bread they use is really really great! Seeded roll but very soft and fresh. Listen I’m going to be a repeat customer after coming here!!! Sandwiches are a great size too.

Bolstered by the rave reviews, my husband and I made a special trip to visit this humble sandwich shop. Right off the bat, the presentation deserves gold stars. These sandwiches aren’t small; each half is likely a pretty hearty meal on its own, and when served on decorative wax paper and a wooden serving board, it’s a pretty sight.
That said, nothing really wowed. I ordered the vodka parmigiana sandwich while my husband went with the sausage sandwich. The orders took some time to come out, which felt like an assurance that things were being prepared fresh, but I was surprised at how lukewarm the chicken cutlet, sauce, and sausage pieces were. On the plus side, the bread is the seeded variety (in my book, the ultimate type for a sandwich) and nicely toasted. My husband thought his sausage sandwich needed some sort of a sauce, to which the owners happily obliged with some ketchup. It helped, but his overall impression of his meal was similar to my own – good, not great.
While our meal didn’t blow us away, what everyone else has shared about the owners is true. These are the nicest, most welcoming folks behind the counter. They greeted us the moment we entered and guided us through the bestsellers of the menu.

Got the Soprano added lettuce tomato lite mayo . Corlos was awesome he took care of everything keep up the awesome service . Sandwiche was excellent! Had to take a picture of second half before it disappears.

Has always been a staple in saddle brook from what I know, I knew the old owners and the new and consistency is the name of the game at nicks. Great selection on the sandwich board, and great quality ingredients. And as we all know the Bread is make or break to how good a sandwich is and they got the semolina that toasts up great!!

Absolutely top notch 10/10. The perfect the meat to bread ratio, some places just stack cold cuts and it ruins it, not this place. I’m extremely picky of Italian deli’s and I’m telling you, this place is as good as it gets. Look at the photo of my sandie lol. T’was fire!

Well done Nick’s!! A good sandwich is not as easy as slapping together ingredients on bread. Perfectly breaded chicken cutlet with mozzarella, tomato and balsamic (a little too much-imo). Incredibly friendly staff and an overall fabulous experience. I’ll be back for a chicken parm or classico next time.
