If you don’t know…. Here is the scoop. Food consistency is excellent the service even at busy times has been good at less busy times the service is excellent
The menu Isn’t large but the items on the menu are top quality very flavorful and in some cases quite creative I would definitely recommend you try a few of the pizzas the burgers and a couple of the entrees just to get a sampling of how much variety there is even though the menu seems small the appetizers here are good and if you are a barbecue sauce fan mix makes their own barbecue sauce called Nick’s awesome sauce and it is quite delicious I’d recommend asking for a spoon because there’s a bottle of the barbecue sauce on every table if you like to take the little bit
10/10 Great Menu also.
The food delivers more than expected. Classic dishes arrive with thoughtful, often house-made touches that lift them above the ordinary. My Reuben was particularly memorable—generous, well-balanced, and mouthwateringly good, with flavors that worked in harmony rather than competing for attention. The fries were equally satisfying, crisp and well-seasoned, a reliable companion to the sandwich.
Nick’s is known for its “famous chips,” though I chose not to test that claim. Perhaps they are exceptional, but what I saw did little to convince me to pass over fries that so clearly delivered. Even so, the strength of what did reach the table made the case on its own.
What stands out most is the sense of care. This is comfort food, yes, but comfort food executed with intention—recipes treated as something to be respected, not merely repeated. It feels personal, the kind of place where regulars are remembered and newcomers are welcomed easily into the fold.
Nick’s may not aim for reinvention, but it does not need to. It succeeds by doing familiar things well, in a setting that encourages you to stay awhile.
My rating: ★★★★☆
1 star — I will never return.
2 stars — If nearby, I might return, but without urgency.
3 stars — Worth a visit if in the area, though not a destination in itself.
4 stars — Worth going out of your way to enjoy.
5 stars — I would fly around the world for this meal.
I enjoyed the atmosphere of their outdoor seating (it’s covered and has ceiling fans) and the service was alright! I’d be willing to try this place again to give their burgers and drinks a try, but I won’t be getting my hopes up.
