As a truck driver I walked here from Eastman plant. Great atmosphere, was greeted when I arrived, clean facilities. Sat at bar, looked over menu. Bar tender lady helped me and got a beer a then ordered a burger and fries. Waited some time for my food. Burger was very good but the crinkle cut garlic parmesan fries were not to be desired. It is just a powdered mess thrown on the fries. Not very appealing. The Abita Turbodog dark beer was great in 22oz, maybe more then you need. Over all a good experience and meal. Thank you

My wife had seen Nick’s on TikTok a few times and wanted to give it a try, so we met some friends from Kingsport there last night. I went in with zero expectations since I knew nothing about the place beforehand. We arrived about 10 minutes before 7:00, and our friends got there a few minutes before us. We ended up waiting roughly 35 minutes for a table, so naturally I assumed the food must be worth the wait.
We started with the pork mac n’ cheese bites and the fiery mozzarella sticks. Both were good — the mozzarella sticks weren’t particularly spicy, but they were better than most I’ve had, and I’m typically not big on mac n’ cheese bites, but these definitely stood out.
I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with garlic parm fries. I was impressed with the sandwich overall, though it didn’t have quite as much flavor as I was hoping for. Adding a little buffalo sauce made it perfect. My wife ordered the hot honey nuggets, which were very good as well.
Overall, it was a solid experience with good food and no complaints. Since it’s about 30 minutes away, we probably won’t make frequent trips, but I’m glad we tried it — definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area. Well done, Nick’s!

Well…I was extremely shocked by the added ingredients of my chicken today as you can see by the pictures. I took it back to the restaurant and was asked “would you like us to re-make that for you?”…no…”would you like a gift card (for more than I paid) for your trouble?…no…I would like a refund…which I did receive. But what I did not receive and which is why I am even more shocked is a SORRY…that word never came out of their mouth. What you see in that picture is a drain fly larva, so you can make your own assumptions. But I will not be back, I wish everyone else good luck and be sure to check your chicken.

We had heard a lot of good things about Nicks and finally decided to try it while we were out in Kingsport. Wish we would’ve came here sooner! Great menu recommendations and service from our server Matt. I got the pickle margarita and it was incredible! I would come back simply for that alone. The food hit the spot with the right amount of spice and sides to complement the chicken. We will definitely be adding Nicks to our regular restaurant rotation.

Great chicken and really friendly staff. The only thing that kept this from being five stars was the burger… that burger was a big mistake. I’ll go ahead and get that out of the way and then we’ll go into the praise for everything else!
I was expecting a hand patted burger, juicy, and delicious. What I got was a sad, thin little patty that was so overcooked and devoid of juice. I think it had been frozen? It was bland with the exception of a little bit of a burn taste as it was burned on one side. Won’t make the mistake of getting that again for $16.
The real Star of Nick’s is of course the chicken and I guess I should have gotten that.. my better half did and shared with me and I was so happy. The pieces of boneless chicken were huge and so moist. The flavor was excellent. I also like knowing that the chicken is no growth hormone or antibiotic. We were a little worried when we got the fries because crinkle cuts are not our thing then we tasted them and realize they were hand cut crinkle cut, and they became the best crinkle I have ever had. Their honey mustard is made from scratch and is so excellent. It also taste like they might make their own garlic bread as it was super fresh. Go for the chicken and the people and the fries!

I absolutely love Nicks Family Restaurant! Its warming welcoming environment is noticed the moment you walk in. You get the warm welcome, not the fake greeting! The food is simply superb. Many different choices. I absolutely recommend the baked sweet potato! The desserts are made in house and you can definitely taste that they are made with love! I love the farmhouse decor. We typically eat in the outside area, it’s calming and very relaxing. Great people, great food and great atmosphere, so the question is, why would you eat anywhere else ?

Five stars! Great atmosphere. Good food and lunch specials. Also, really good cocktails. The bar manager (Kara) knows her stuff. I’ve seen the signs every time I drive through the area. Today was the first time I stopped. I got a burger. I learned that the beef is locally sourced. It was delicious. I also tried a Coconut Blood Orange Margarita. It was also delicious. I’m usually a beer guy. They also have covered outdoor seating with games for the kids. They also have gluten-free options, including burgers
