The server we had was great but NOT the haddock tacos it was NOT worth $17.00 at all. The hard shell looked and tasted like the Ortaga hard shell brand. You can see. I expected a better presentation. The sweet jalapeño sauce was good but it was the only flavor I can taste everything else was bland within the taco. The presentation lacked the quality…. I ate them because I was hungry but took a few bites off the last taco. I wanted to tell the server how the tacos were not good but I didn’t want to be rude. Personally I would not order them. The mussels on the other hand were delicious!!

We stopped in for a quick dinner and were not disappointed. The calamari was unique and delicious, everyone really liked the sauce that came with it. We also got 2 pizzas a cheese and a pepperoni and 1 of us got a lobster roll. The food was great as was the atmosphere and our server was great, I think her name was Jo.

Nice dining experience! My cousin and his girl took David and I out to eat here while visiting us at the beach. We enjoyed the food and experience. David had a burger, my cousin had a haddock sandwich, his girlfriend had lobster Mac and cheese while I enjoyed a flatbread pizza. The food is definitely on par for a beach establishment catering to a huge crowd. I liked the rustic tavern atmosphere and the prices are what you’d expect for York. Definitely check it out when at Short Sands.

A friend and I stopped by Nick’s Beachside Grille for a drink and some appetizers. The interior is on the smaller side, but it is nicely decorated and appears to have availability for outdoor seating.
Don’t let that deter you though. The staff here is very attentive and super friendly. They checked in often and ensured that we were enjoying the food and drinks and had all that we needed.
In addition to this, the food we ordered was cooked to perfection. I supplied some photos of the Garlic Rolls, French Fries, and the Mozzarella Sticks. We eyed the room for what others ordered as well and their meals looked just as good! The meals are well presented and was a pleasant surprise when going to a Beachside grille.
If you are in the area and are looking for someplace new to try, I would definitely recommend Nick’s Beachside Grille! You won’t be disappointed!

Had an amazing experience at Nicks. Our waitress was amazing super sweet and attentive. I got the Salmon Pinwheel and my boyfriend got the French Dip Burger Melt with Spicy Fries! We both loved our meals. Thank you, we will be visiting again!

Pretty good food and atmosphere! Food was a bit overpriced, but tasted great (except for the mozzarella balls, don’t get those, do not taste good.) Waitress was friendly but a bit inattentive and it was ridiculous how soft drinks did not have free refills. It’s a tourist restaurant so it’s pretty good for a quick lunch. If you’re in York Beach it’s worth a try.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. There was a piece of metal in my beach fries. I was chewing and bit into the piece of metal. It hurt. Wasn’t a great experience to bite into something. Our waitress offered to rectify the situation by giving us half off the fries. I requested not to pay for the fries at all, and I was surprised they did not offer to make it right with picking up the check, since we did not finish any of the food. Since the incident made eating there any more impossible.
The place was hot and understaffed. Which I don’t blame the waiting staff for at all. But it was slow and it wasn’t crowded.
The margarita was good. But after biting into a piece of metal, my appetite was gone. My kids did not enjoy their pizza or tenders.

Uuggghh we used to love this place. Came in with my family and the manager Carlie? is gone. You walk in and it feels completely different. Super dirty. Food was overpriced for its quality. Actually was cold and took forever. Nothing for the kids anymore. The service from the new manager was beyond disappointing. We used to come for bingo and karaoke and just for fun. Most locals won’t touch this place anymore. This restaurant sucks now. Don’t bother. I never write reviews, so that’s how passionate we are about the loss of a good place
