Nice place for food and socializing. The waitresses were great and busy too since it was Friday. The flat iron steak special good. Lots of TVs which was nice that they had two different sports games going and two movies. This appears to be Pittsburg Steelers bar so I deducted one star. 😉

Love this place. Best bang for your buck and as a neighborhood bar it’s vibe is like a second home. Servers are great and the specials always hit. We always try to get in when Nick is on the grill. Steak and salmon were fire and when they do the steak and eggs breakfasts it’s peak.

I love the freshness of the food and that cook will work with me on substitutions. The prices are very fair and I have brought friends there and they like it too. It is close to my home so very convenient. The waitress’s know me so they have my drink and menu to my table when I sit down ( in my usual booth). I went for breakfast this morning and it was exactly as I ordered and coffee hot and good. Reasonable price ( unlike at another place I tried where everything was extra and it was pricey for what we got, service was good, though) Nick’s is my go-to place for lunch or breakfast , I only have 1 or 2 other family owned restaurants I frequent from time to time but Nicks is my favorite for family type meals .

Nick’s is a neighborhood bar and grill that has great food, drinks and service on the regular and incredible specials. The staff are always kind to us and attentive and the drinks are great. Food is great and very reasonably priced. When Nick is cooking a special it’s worth the visit.

I ordered two orders of fried pickles for a pick up order. Very quick turn around on the time of the order, the bartender was absolutely lovely. However, when I opened the boxes this is the amount of pickles I got FOR 8 DOLLARS EACH…. Won’t ever order from here again. I did call and ask if possibly there was a mix up and one order was split in two, they advised that the pickles are weighed out and whatever you get is whatever you get. Again, I will not be returning to eat here.

Enjoyed Sunday breakfast here on a holiday weekend. The place was packed and it seemed the bartender was taking the whole place with help from one girl cleaning tables and walking food. That being said, we were more than impressed! We did not want for anything, food was great and very reasonably priced. This photo is the veggie omelet and it was awesome! We also enjoyed a half skillet and French toast.

Update June 26 2022. Another great meal. This time I had the Irish burger. Egg cheddar on sliced ham on a hamburger patty.
Waitress was amazing. Kept 6 orders in her head without notes!
Very glad I tried this place out. I’ve always wondered about it and never gone there and did today for late lunch. It has a nice atmosphere somewhat country-ish somewhat barbecue ish. They have a Reuben on the menu. I look for the Reuben quality as an indicator of the rest of their food. However this time I also saw they had a tenderloin. The waitress said it was big but not gargantuan. “It could fit in two buns”. That’s a good way for me to ask in the future how big a place’s tenderloin is. “How many buns does it take to cover it?”
So anyway I got that with all the toppings. Got the onion rings for an extra $1. Had some hot sauce on the tenderloin. Mustard and hot sauce mix for the rings.
Mmmm good stuff.
It was quiet when I was there from 1-2pm it started to pick up towards 2pm. They had one waitress for the whole place till 6pm. Oy vey. But she was able to keep up with the approximately 6 couples at tables and a few more at the bar.
Music was good. Classic stuff. Made me think of a juke box though it was on the system not a real juke box.
I didn’t have beers though I suppose it was, as the saying goes, 5pm somewhere. I will have to go back there with my friend from the other recent review. At first I thought Nick’s only had “macrobrew” but when I looked they also had Big Grove, Guiness, Shiner and the assorted “macrobrews”. I’ll have the Reuben just as a formality then because I like this place. Good prices too. Now that I think if it, I’ll have to go back at least a third time. They have a sandwich, “Cow Dip”, their version of an Au Jus. Funny name. Worth the third trip for that.

Sat there for 20 minutes and not 1 waitress came to approached us for even a water or menu. Although eye contact was given multiple times Other families came in after mine and were sat and waited on with promt service. Bad business practices.
