Food: I had a lamb gyro with greek fries and Dr. Pepper. The drink was not the original drink but a low-key copy of it, not really carbonated.
The fries were really nice at the sight, but they were old and greasy, and the smell was really, really bad, like the stench of an old oil stain on a carpet.
The gyro was unpredictable, really really nice to see but, here we go again, the bad smell of old fries.I took just a bite, and the taste was like the smell, a sour hit at the mouth, that was the moment that I realized that I had to follow my nose, but the hunger was stronger, and I paid the price for a couple of hours with the stomach upset and a bad smell with every burp.
And then we get to the service: I got back to the place, and the same guy was there, alone in the emptiness of the place.
I told me that I didn’t like the food because it smelled bad. The funny part was when he smelled it and he yanked his head away, then he looked at me and said “this smell like….food”.
I don’t blame him. He spends many hours working there. Maybe he’s used to the smell, and he also did the company best interest, saving some money.
He didn’t offer me a replacement or even just a substitution, so I wanted my money back, but he said “I just prepared the food for you the food is fresh.I will not give you the money back”
I understand that maybe at 8:30 pm there’s no more customers and the food quality is lower compared to noon when the kitchen is busier, they rummage in the fries-box for some extra fries and they put a lot of vegetables and fries and sauce to cover the lack of meat.
But when a customer returns back almost the whole meal ( obviously I had to try the fries and the gyro so 6 fries and 2 bite of gyro) because it doesn’t reach the minimal expectations they should do something for building the trust back.
The guy walked away, leaving me there, so I left the bag with the food on the table, and I left, the only thing I could do.
Wow!
Edit: The guy moved the head back when he smelled the fries. He was almost scared to smell them. Please upload the video so we can see. The smell was not the garlic was the old oil, I love garlic that’s why I choose the greek fries.
And if you say that the fries were cooked fresh, the cheese should be melt or softened, you can clearly see that is solid!!!Explain me this, you use cheese that doesn’t melt?
In the picture, you can clearly see that the fries are old and refried. Also, look at the amount of onion, which is really cheap!
The order was not made fresh.
I wasn’t expecting top quality at almost 9 pm.
I took only 2 bites from the gyro, it wasn’t eaten as the owner said first because it was very nasty, second because I didn’t want to eat it.
The thing that the owner doesn’t understand is that if a customer is not satisfied, he has the right to a refund!
And no, the guy didn’t offer me to make a new gyro and fries. He just said that the food was good and fresh and he was not going to make a new plate.
Besides this, due to the bad experience, I wouldn’t have eaten anymore in that place, paying customers treated like criminals!
I repeat that if a customer is not satisfied with the quality of the food, the business has to make it right, replace it, or refund it!! We are not living on a desert island!
And yet you try to say that the food was good!
I used to come here all the time! Now I’m going somewhere else.
They need to learn from places like in-n-out and other good fast food chains. Condiments should be free and only add to the value of your establishment.
Plus, to add insult to injury, they started packing up all the chairs at 8:15pm when they close at 9pm. Way to create a welcoming atmosphere while I’m eating. Plus the music is too loud.
This place has changed in such a short time.
Good luck getting more customers by being stingy.
I had the Chicken Souvlaki plate and it was excellent. The side salad was very good and not completely smothered in onion like other locations.
I also tried the chocolate froyo and it was a great dessert. I’m surprised how large it was; I kinda wish they made a smaller version.
The staff is always friendly, and I have no complaints about service. But the portions made me feel not satisfied. We will not come back again.
Great service as well.
Other than that, the environment was cozy and the people were nice.
