We came across this bakery and decided to buy some chocolate chip cookies for the go. After taking a few bites, we immediately turned back and went back inside. In two days, we visited 5 times! We had plenty of cookies, Danish pastries, croissants, cinnamon raisin rolls, coffee, and an einkorn loaf. Everything we had has been the best we ever had! We have a picky palate, and Nick & sons surpassed our expectations and even blew us away. The bakers are easy to talk to, and it reminds us of old bakeries’ service. The cinnamon raisin roll was outstanding. We never tried anything like it;* the fresh cardamon*, could eat 2 in a row without getting a sugar high or feeling uneasy. Even their coffee is perfect, the BEST of Spring Lake, and ideal for dipping pastries. Now I’m enjoying the 3-day-old Einkorn loaf at home, and it’s just so perfect with butter and dipped in coffee. We look forward to revisiting Spring Lake to enjoy more goods at Nick Sons Bakery. Thank you for providing high-quality baked goods.

Got some really tasty croissants here. The service was excellent. Like beyond excellent.
Loved the variety of breads. It’s a cute shop that does mostly breads and bakes on site. Great place to support if you are in the area or want croissants or breads!

The absolute BEST breakfast pastries around. The chocolate croissant is a household staple but the almond croissant is a personable favorite. Their bread is also delicious. Get there early because they tend to SELL OUT!

Fresh and delicious pastries. I got there at 9am and they were sold out of almond and za’atar croissants; I got a chocolate croissant and cinnamon roll. The croissant was still warm and slightly gooey in the middle, crispy on the outside. The cinnamon roll was good and reminded me of Swedish cinnamon buns. They had a soft brioche dough and hint of almond flavor.
Everyone is super nice and helpful and it smells divine inside. Definitely get there early!

Was down the shore this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised to hear of the Nick and Sons bakery in Spring Lake! I had never been to the one in NY so was interested in trying it.
It is located in the very cute down town area of the town and was not too crowded around 9-10 AM when we went. The outside seating area was very nice and the shop was small and quaint.
Despite being out of many of the items that interested me the most(due to its popularity I assume) we decided to try some croissant, cinnamon roll and a few other items.
These were very fresh and had good flavor. The croissant was very buttery, flaky, and probably the most delicious thing I ate.
Prices are a little high, but you are definitely paying for the premium and also inflation.
Overall a solid place that I highly recommend visiting.

Delicious! We tried this cute little bakery and we are so glad we did. We got a chocolate croissant, an apple tart, peach basil tart and a fig and something (lol) tart. They were all delicious. The dough is flaky and tender and the fillings are all so, so good. We will be back the next time we’re on the Jersey Shore!

Got a almond croissant, it tasted liked solid butter.I was sadly disappointed. The best croissant is one that is filled with almond pastry cream not more butter, sorry.

Delicious and friendly bakery…great addition to adorable Spring Lake. Go early to ensure you get what you want. Worth the wait! Favorites: plain croissant (voted best in NYC), razor clam, cinnamon roll, raisin roll, Sal’s bread, and apple tart.

Pre-ordered the Torta della Nonna from Nik & Sons in Spring Lake for Christmas dinner. Drove in 7° weather yesterday to pick it up. Couldn’t wait til Christmas so we cut into it last night. So delicious!!! Good thing they only make it for special occasions. Otherwise, my sister would make us order it all the time (and she doesn’t each much dessert).
By the way, when you visit Spring Lake, stop by real early to purchase his croissants and sourdough breads. He sells out fast!
