With the many chains slowly infiltrating Redlands, we LOVE supporting this ‘hometown’ original ice-cream spot.
From the friendly service, to the truly INCREDIBLE handmade flavors they have, to the free video games for kiddos and the lovely outdoor patio area, Nicho’s is definitely our favorite local spot to get sweet treats.
If they EVER have the Chocolate Brownie flavor, you must try it. It sells out so quickly, but it is divine.
My newest favorite obsession is their strawberries and cream dessert. It is a perfect mix of sweet and refreshing, with a perfectly-sweetened cream poured over freshly sliced strawberries. It hits the spot EVERYTIME!
I know there’s Handle’s, Lappert’s, 31 Flavors and more… but try local and I promise you won’t regret it!!!
Also, highly recommend talking to them about their mini fruit ice-pops for parties. They are the prefect size to have a few, and not feel overwhelmed, and their flavors are AMAZING (my favorites are watermelon, lime and coconut!)

Simple & nice treat when on State St. Nicho’s ice creams are creamy and rich – scoops & ice cream bars (paletas). Good selection of flavors (ex. Expresso, Tres leche, Churro, Cookie monster, Coconut, Ferrero Rocher, Strawberry…). Milkshakes – pending size, you can mix & match scoops of ice cream.

This place is delicious. They have lots of different Mexican fruit ice creams and even sugar free and vegan ice cream. Prices are good and there daily deals are excellent. Had a churro ice cream sandwhich with horchata ice cream which was the bomb. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Where do I start..i love nichos it’s family Owened and ran they are very sweet people woth michocana ice that is so good I love that they have daily deals mangonada Monday is buy one get one 50 percent off they have the best cookie monster ice cream it has cookie dough and oreoes and it goes great inside the churro waffle. Highly recommend the elote in a cup so amazing.

Nicho’s ice cream was delicious. Place is very clean. Most importantly, Genesis is very friendly, polite, and helpful. She impressed me with her professionalism. This was our first visit. Now, we plan to visit often.

The absolute best 🙂 Generous portions, many many many flavors, and a preponderance of them are novel (Tres Leches Cake!?!, amazing!!) We take our kids maybe once a month and it’s a huge treat for all of us —even the ones who don’t do dairy – the sorbets and mangonadas are excellent 🙂
