Nicholas’ Pizza is that pizza place that has been with us forever. Located on N. Washington Ave in Scranton, Pennsylvania, is that home away from home. During a challenging life event with my Mom, we were somehow told about the taco pizza. So today was the day to try it, and omg, it was incredible! They should really sell tacos, too. Pepperoni is always a favorite, and the plain is a win any time. Oregano and a sauce just right is what kept us loving Nicholas’ for life. Warning, You can definitely eat a tray yourself, so get one for each person. They’re taking some days off starting next week, so get there this weekend or when they return. Thanks, Nicholas’ for being so delicious and kind.

This restaurant has been special to my family for years now. I hadn’t visited since I was a kid, but I went to introduce my husband to the food and restaurant itself a few weeks ago for some lunch. Very affordable food, good service and incredible atmosphere. Glad it’s still as nice as it was when I was a kid growing up with it 🙂

I give it credit for being unique, I can’t say I’ve had a pizza I can compare it to. But for me that’s about where the credit ends. I don’t understand the other reviews for this pizza. The crust is nothing special and almost rivals those you can find in a frozen pizza brand. It’s not inedible, but I can’t recommend it over the countless great pizza places in NEPA. They’ve been in business a while, so there must be a demand for this style of pizza, but I don’t understand it.

What a find!! We were in Scranton, watching our son’s bestfriend play football, and I wanted pizza. I can’t have gluten, so, I searched in Yelp, and this place came as a suggestion, that was really close to where we were. The pizza is NOT your regular Scranton/Old Forge pizza (thick pizzas). This a thin, crunchy pizzas, and so delicious!!! An old style pizza shop, it feels like you walked back in time. The employees were super nice, we ate there, and took the rest to go. The gluten free pizza is crunchy too, and delicious!!! Try the tomato and basil if you go there during the summer, it’s soo good!!
