Had brunch here yesterday. Great menu for brunch, mid day, and dinner with great choices. The restaurant is decorated so beautifully for the holiday season with Christmas trees, garland, and lots of ornaments. Lots of different spaces to sit. Very busy on a Sunday for brunch, but all the staff handled it with ease and were very friendly. Our server Alexandra was so helpful, so sweet, and hard working! We had a delicious sugar cookie martini, and loved the crudite, pizza, and shovel salad. Lobster roll, slider, Mac and cheese, and fish sandwich were also a hit! We loved it here. We traveled about an hour here and it was well worth the trip!

Delicious food from burgers to fresh fish. The branzino was cooked to perfection with a crispy skin and flakey inside. Each dish everyone loved. The cocktails were great and they definitely packed a good punch! Our server was very diligent and willing to help with any and all questions. I think I’ll let the dessert speak for itself… unreal. I’d say the only thing to note is the place gets very busy (as it should) but with the amount of people and the music it was hard to hear one another at the table. Other than that it was a great experience and would definitely return!

This was supposed to be a celebratory lunch, my birthday and first time going out without my new baby as a mom. We had this reservation for a little while and were excited. We get there and almost were seated at a nice table, then a mean woman came up and forced us to get seated next to the bar at the pictured table. Yes that’s my chair in the middle of the entranceway to the patio! Yes we kindly asked to move to other open tables and the waitress said no! No one else even sat down for a while at other open tables and when they did, they were also two tops! I then asked if they could move the tray stand behind me, and they couldn’t even do that.
Wanted to leave at that point, but since already there and hungry we ordered. After getting bumped 100 times on my chair already, the food came and I couldn’t believe my plate. Menu was pretty vague but didn’t expect such a small meal and menial side for the price. Still going with the flow I just decide to eat it and not complain again and this thing was burnt, couldn’t even finish it. Just terrible.
Only positives were that the s’mores dessert was amazing, enough to feed a small army, and the waitress was nice, what occurred wasn’t her fault. She asked and was told no.

What a wonderful time! We came to Nicholas Barrel and Roost to celebrate my parents anniversary and it was wonderful. Our server, Olivia, was so kind. The food was phenomenal, as per usual. And the decorations were so cute! 1000/10!

We made a reservation for brunch and we’re seated right away. Staff filled the water glasses immediately and allowed us all the time we needed to peruse their extensive wine and cocktail menu. All the drinks were served rather quickly and had nice, fresh flavors. We opted to share the Scotch egg, which was prepared and presented beautifully. We dined on the Shovel salad, the Hangover sandwich, as well as the Surf and Turf. No one had any complaints about the food, portion size or freshness of what was presented. We shared a Dubai chocolate martini for dessert, which tasted amazing. We definitely want to go back for dinner soon!

Was totally impressed, second time there on new year day, we got a gift card as a gift and promptly forgot to take it, Edward couldn’t be nicer the way he handled it, food was amazing, had lobster roll and a burger, fabulous, wine was great as well, our server Kristen was fabulous, great place to enjoy your new year day

First time. Super disappointed. Ordered a Nicholas burger medium and it came out burned on hidden under the cheese. The other person at the table got a medium burger too and it was rare. Not sure what happened. I pulled it apart the part of the burger that was partly edible because it already took a very long time for the lunch order to come out and we had to get back.
I was not at all expecting a tiny, burned burger for $22.
