This restaurant is a true hidden gem! The Osso Bucco was cooked to perfection with incredible depth of flavor. The service was phenomenal. The head chef Carlos even came out to greet us at the end of our meal! Honestly one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had.

This is truly my favorite restaurant in San Juan. It’s a small establishment, a little off the beaten path. However the service may be the best in town. We usually sit at the bar so we can talk to Hector the bartender who is so friendly and knowledgeable. Just get whatever he recommends for food and drinks and you won’t be disappointed. This is the type of restaurant that never disappoints and where you can clearly feel the love and pride from the staff. The best part is that the food is STELLAR. Everything was cooked to perfection.

Had a lovely meal at Niche last night. There were three of us so we got four appetizers and two main dishes, which gave us a nice sample of the menu, enough to want to go back. Hats off to the chef, Carlos Morales, who took time to come talk to us afterwards.

New Year Eve Chef menu was a great choice to start this evening. Just got to get photos from the 1st course since everything after that look and was so good that didn’t have time to stop to take a picture.

We wanted to love it, but unfortunately, we didn’t. The restaurant itself is very pretty and cozy, and the service was great.
My husband enjoyed his filet mignon.
However, the rest of the food was just okay. The tuna tartare was way too sweet, and we weren’t sure about the seaweed. The halibut was a bit dry. Risotto was pretty good. Portions are pretty big.

Wow, what a great find! My wife and I were so impressed by the romantic setting—Niche is tucked away inside a boutique hotel, creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere. The moment you walk in, it feels like stepping into a hidden grotto, with stone walls and wine bottles adding to the charm.
The food was outstanding. I started with the Oysters Rockefeller, which were rich and perfectly balanced, followed by the Surf and Turf Volcano—tender skirt steak and shrimp draped in a flavorful bordelaise sauce. My wife had the Cornish Hen, which was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Every bite was a delight.
The service was just as exceptional, with attentive staff who made the evening feel even more special. This is the perfect spot for a romantic dinner, and we will absolutely be returning. Highly recommend!

The restaurant is inside of a hotel. The restaurant itself is very very small. But great for an intimate and romantic occasion. Staff is great and friendly. Provided recommendations and guidance. Food was fresh and delicious. We got a beef tartare to start. Not my favorite there. Maybe try the tuna tartare. And then I got the salmon mignon which was my favorite. Highly recommend that dish

absolutely love this place. The speakeasy ambience is incredible—moody, stylish, and perfect for a night out. The appetizers were delicious, and the drinks were amazing, crafted with great attention to detail. The service was truly impeccable; the staff made the entire experience feel special from start to finish.
The ambience is a 10/10. Whether you’re going on a date or hanging out with a group of friends, this spot is perfect. Highly recommend!

Loved this gem of a find (max capacity ~25). The food was fantastic and the service friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Highly recommend all 3 appetizers we tried: the crab alcapurria cakes, the vegan arancini and the shrimp aguachile. Several of us had the daily special queen snapper (Cartucho) and loved it, other dishes we enjoyed were the red snapper with risotto, the shrimp mofongo and the filet mignon. Desserts were also top notch. We had the tembleque, flan and lemon pie. Add a couple of bottles of wine and the whole tab for 5 of us came to just under $475. We’ll definitely be back!

Love the creative inspiration combo from Puerto Rico, Mexico, and France! From the cocktails, to the wine list, apps, dinner and desserts. We had the mussels with French fries, veal osso bucco, scallops with pesto pasta, and crab alcapurria. Every dish was so delicious. Also, the service was top notch. Greeted immediately, given water choices and great attention throughout. The vibe was cozy and comfortable, not too loud or quiet. Can’t wait to go back! For vegans or vegetarians, they even offered a vegan dessert. Can’t remember exactly what it was.
