The food was great. Everything else was just the normal sit and wait. Yeah 30 minutes seems a little longer then I would like to wait. I really think the syrup containers need to be replaced. One’s that don’t require you to put a paper towel around it to hold would be exactly!

This is a great little diner in Salem, Indiana. That staff here are all very friendly and prompt. The restaurant is kept very clean. The food was delicious. It is very popular among the local folks. You may encounter some very friendly folks inside if you are so inclined. It is easy to find using Google Maps and has plenty of free parking.

A real slice of small town Americana… great fried chicken, solid country fried steak. The deep fried cauliflower was hot and delicious. The mashed potatoes were served with brown gravy, the other with sausage gravy. My wife said the fried okra was good, not my thing..lol

We are staying in Salem and traveling back and forth to Louisville for a festival. We found ourselves needing a good home cooked meal and weren’t disappointed at Nices. The waitress was amazing and brought us what we needed before we even knew we needed it. I had steak and eggs and the steak was delicious and well-seasoned. Hubby had b&g, eggs, toast and hashbrowns. The atmosphere was very homey with lots of sweet people coming in who knew each other. Highly recommend!

Food was so great i didnt get a picture of my sandwich! i had a BLT. Portions were so plentiful it made me hungrier and ready to devour my breakfast. Loved how the local businesses were advertised on my drinking glass. i had a large sweet tea. We will definitely stop in again when we’re in town. Thank you.
