For the fact this is clearly a front, they did well. Food was calories in, and they are new so I give a lot of grace on the fact they looked like they were running a restaurant. Service was great but worrisome. The cherry pie looked a little tragic, but again they’re trying to make it look like it works. Definitely stop in to see if you’re up for for this experience. Pro Tip: if you use the restroom you’ll find the hidden bar down the hallway.

We recently had the misfortune of dining in for breakfast at this establishment after a lengthy drive to Lake Tahoe. Unfortunately, our experience was thoroughly disappointing. The presentation of my mother’s and husband’s meals resembled undercooked sausage. Regrettably, my mother subsequently fell ill with food poisoning. I would strongly advise against patronizing this restaurant. Due to embarrassment, we hesitated to request that the waitress take the dishes back or accommodate changes to our order, prompting my mother and husband to discontinue eating and depart the premises after only a few bites.

Home-made yumminess in a busy, homey diner atmosphere in the middle of nowhere. Chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes and gravy. Heck yeah! While visiting Yosemite, I took a side trip to spend the night in Lee Vining for a visit to Mono Lake. A very cool little town on a very cool and unique lake. Very glad I took the time to come here. Not cheap, but worth it.

Nice place, had a decent dinner. The food was solid, the service very nice.
It’s a bit like stepping out a time machine, the restaurant has not changed significantly over the last 30-40 years. If you are expecting anything else you might get disappointed. We liked it!

Great place for breakfast before a long hike or fishing trip. Dinner is amazing too if you didn’t catch anything. Wonderful spot and the staff are friendly, welcoming and always has good service.

I always enjoy stopping by Nicely’s when I’m in the area. The food is great and I love the old diner feel. I recommend the Mike’s Favorite.

We had our breakfast here after 2 hours driving from Yosemite National Park. My husband had pancake sandwiches with sausage and one egg. I had the Nicely’s Breakfast Burrito which was a Bacon, 2 Scrambled Eggs, Hash Browns and Cheddar Cheese Wrapped in a Flour Tortilla. They came out quick and were great portions. The pancakes were very fluffy and tasty. If the sausage was a bit more, better. The burrito was very tasty, good! My coffee was quite blank but my husband’s chocolate was good. Price reasonable and friendly service. Recommend.

Was hoping they served breakfast late but they didn’t. It took a bit for our orders to be taken even though the place wasn’t that full. Food didn’t take too long to come out though. Chicken noodle soup lacked flavor but the chicken sandwich with mushrooms and cheese was very good,. The fries were just ok as were the rest of the entrees. The bread pudding also lacked flavor and sadly the apple pie was a disappointment. The only good thing about it was the vanilla ice cream on it. Pie had no good flavor. Bread pudding also needed more tastiness. We ordered a sundae but didn’t get it and want added to order. Our waiter didn’t come by too often.

We’re in Lee Vining for 3 days and had dinner at Nicely’s. I had their Chicken Breast with Teriyaki Sauce and thought it was very good! My in-laws both had the Fish N Chips and they thought it was pretty good except the veggies were cold. My husband had their enormous Chef Salad and he said it was pretty darn good even though he couldn’t finish it lol! The place has a 50’s feel to it, it’s nostalgic and cute. Overall had a nice dinner.
