I wanted to try Niccolo Pizzeria attracted by their claiming of the use of Ciao San Marzano tomato sauce and actual Italian ingredients. One thing that I liked was some variety on the pizza menu so I tried their “Margherita” (a first must try when you’re discovering a new pizzeria, because it sets the basics), the “Bambola” (with Prosciutto Di Parma, arugula and fig jam) in which the sweet and savory balance was not bad but the flavor of prosciutto was completely nonexistent, way too light and an American classic, their “Pepperoni” pizza that, not surprisingly, was the best amongst these three. They’re only a few blocks up from my apartment so I thought the delivery would have been a better and quick solution. I was sadly wrong! The delivery took more than one hour, which is unacceptable and pizzas arrived ice cold with a super hard and dry crust. This is not Italian pizza, the Margherita (probably due to the extreme coldness) was at the edge of being inedible and their marinara sauce came with garlic (not the authentic Italian tomato sauce, especially if you’re using “San Marzano” tomatoes, which you’re most probably not). I loved the idea for the “Bambola”, the ingredients were well combined but the Prosciutto was really tasteless and completely overwhelmed by the sweetness of the fig jam, also it was oddly dripping oil in quantity. Their “Pepperoni” was tasty and with a mildly flavored pepperoni quality but overall it was really good!
I should mention, in order to better understand this review, that I’m a floor manager in an authentic Neapolitan Pizzeria (and we import Ciao tomato sauce from San Marzano as well, Prosciutto Di Parma and probably 97% of our ingredients straight from Italy) and I’m also a born and raised Italian.
They definitely have a potential but there’s a lot to do here.

At Nicole Pizzería, every bite is pure Italian magic — you can truly taste the authenticity in every ingredient.
✨ pls tell me about the crust? Absolutely next-level crunchy; I even ate the part of the pizza we usually leave behind! The garlic knots were heaven. And the cherry on top: a warm, gooey bombolone for dessert that oozed creamy goodness the moment I opened it… just WOW. This isn’t just pizza, it’s an experience.

I cannot express to y’all enough how incredible this pizza is! Cleber is the kindest guy and is so passionate about all the ingredients (organic flour from Italy, great olive oil and tomatoes). The best thing about this pizza is you don’t feel like trash after eating it. Everyone must go! My roommates and I can hardly go a week without having this pizza and we are not the type of people to be eating out every week, but this pizza is an exception. Our fav order is a large margarita with pepperoni and pesto.

Friendly staff! Full knowledge of the menu and did a wonderful job explaining what’s what. Greeted every customer that walked in. While dining in I overheard staff interviewing someone and they were polite while doing so. They also ask another customer if she wanted the entire piece of cheese on each slice of her pizza or placed as they normally do which may result in the cheese being shared between slices. I thought this was very attentive detail. The food was hot, visually appealing and delicious. They’re so proud of their fresh ingredients and meatless options. They garlic knots were a lil more crispy than I’d prefer but still delicious and the marinara tasted fresh! Oh before I submitted that staff is now explaining the process of the marinara….I’d definitely recommend this place. Manager-Cleber and Joe

A pizzeria with great style, amazing flavor, and outstanding service. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed warmly and given a clear explanation of their new menu. They were patient and helpful while we chose the best option. We ordered a whole pizza, and it arrived surprisingly fast.
The place is small inside, with room for about eight people, but they still made space for us indoors since it was freezing outside — something we really appreciated. We also had the chance to chat with the person in charge, who explained the style of their pizza and their preparation process. Honestly, we were impressed by how good the pizza tasted: perfect crust, fresh ingredients, and incredible flavor.
Everyone on the staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall, an excellent experience. I’ll definitely come back on my next trip. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed my experience at Niccolo Pizzeria! Small place to grab a quick bite, like pizza. The pizza tastes fresh and clean, like they truly care about the ingredients they use. The cheese was especially good quality, and you can tell they don’t cut corners. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole visit even better. I also really appreciate that they offer a 10% discount to educators (and others), such a kind gesture that shows they value the community. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to! I’m sorry I forgot to take a picture of the slice I got, but I will go back soon and update…

Friendly atmosphere, A+++ chef and service. The slices taste amazing and really brought me back to the early 90s and the real taste of a Manhattan slice of Pizza. Organic ingredients for all those who worry about that but for me it was the taste and the ambiance.
Also tried their Ham and Cheese Calzone I havnt had one that is the exact way I had eaten them in Napoli. If you’re in the hights or anywhere in Manhattan I’d highly recommend this spot.

This was the best pizza I have ever had. It was fresh and the flavor was awesome! The crust was crunchy and light. Just the way we like it. Add the Calabrian Chili oil for the right amount of spice and flavor. It made the pizza pop! Thanks for a great pizza and great conversation. This is a must go to when in the area.
