Absolutely delicious! Go here for traditional, authentic, regional food. We had the best food of our entire Vietnam trip here. Ordered the goat and a pho. They’ll explain you how to roll the herbs, rice and roasted goat into a rice paper roll that you’ll then dip in the most delicious, umami, sauce. This place is run by the grandmother and her daughter, which should say enough in itself. Such kind, lovely, caring people, gladly inviting foreigners at their table.

This might sound like hyperbole but it was genuinely better than any of the meals we had in Hanoi, including several winners of a Michelin bib gourmand.
It’s a little bit away from the tourist strip so doesn’t do as much custom, but it’s worth tripping out for. We had the goat dish and softshell crabs (wasn’t on the English menu at time of ordering) and it was fantastic.
Didn’t expect to get such a good meal in such a touristy area!

If you want to try some authentic home cooked Vietnamese food in tam coc try this place. Ran by a nice family. We tried the goat and rice paper rolls. The lady showed us how to do it and brought out extra sauces for us to use. Very nice food, a bit on the outskirts and limited English but don’t let that put you off!

A great spot to try authentic Ninh Bình cuisine. Ordered the goat stir-fried with lemongrass and chili, and it was absolutely delicious—tender, flavorful, and a unique local experience.
The staff were friendly and quick to serve and the best part is the value for money. The total bill for two people was only 270,000 VND, which is incredibly affordable for the quality of food.

What an amazing dinner!
We walked in without any expectations, just looking for some local dishes.
We had the goat on a sizzling plate and fried crabs with betel leaves.
These two dishes were full of flavor—fresh and fragrant.
The owner took great care of us, showing us how to eat like locals.
A lovely family restaurant that I would highly recommend!
Definitely worth the drive. I would highly suggest tourists who are willing to try local food to come here.
10/10.

Really lovely local restaurant. The food was great – best fried noodles we’ve had in Vietnam. The spring rolls and Pho were also tasty. Really friendly owners. Highly recommend ❤️

Our favourite meal in Vietnam so far! The owners were absolutely lovely and showed us how to eat our meal with the rice papers, and what we should put in it. We ordered the roast goat and pork spring rolls and it did not disappoint! It was absolutely delicious! So much flavour and the spring rolls were huge! We were also given lovely bananas for dessert which was a nice touch! We highly recommend. The owners and the food were both lovely!

Highly recommended restaurant. The staff are friendly and explained the dish I ordered (how to wrap it up). They also gave us mosquito repellent and stuff to help our bites.
The food is superb and great value for money! There are two dogs there which are also very cute.

Came for dinner and was apprehensive at first that there were no other people, but this humble restaurant just kept impressing us. The owners were so kind and let us watch them cook in the kitchen where they explained the ingredients. The goat was very fragrant with spices. The summer rolls with the rice paper was zesty and savoury. The fried rice was oily but chock full of ingredients. The stir fried vegetables were expertly cooked and crunchy and we couldn’t believe that she made the spring rolls entirely from scratch, chopping the mushrooms and fish there and then. The portions were also enormous the three of us couldn’t finish everything! And of course the bananas at the end. MUST COME YOU WONT REGRET IT!
