Kevin Nguyen is the founder of Nguyen’s Kitchen & Sushi Bar. He was born in Hue, Vietnam and his family escaped in 1984 by a handmade wooden boat to Thailand then to the Philippines and finally arrived in San Diego, California in 1987. Kevin’s family has reached the land of freedom. As a young boy he learned Vietnamese cooking from his mother and continued to be well-trained sushi chef. His talented cooking skills and creative mind combines Vietnamese, Japanese and American ingredients, making it one of the most unique combinations ever offered to the public. Kevin and his staff would like to thank you for being Nguyen’s patrons. We are always looking to improve and for our guests to have the best experience at Nguyen’s.

I have been driving past this resturants for 3 years and never had time to stop, but today I did.
Great atmosphere, tastefully decorated, and live tulips on tables give a elegant touch. My server was Ember, very sweet and recommended the Sumo roll over two other choices I was deciding to try. I also had the calamari for an appetizer and the Panko Snapper. I have a hard time ordering calamari because so many places cook it until it is tough and chewy….BUT NOT HERE!! It was so tender and delicious! The snapper was so tender and perfectly cooked.the Sumo sushi was absolutely delicious! Beautifully presented with an intricate butterfly made of carrot, a heart(which I ate before getting a photo made of beet. I definitely will be back! They also serve the sushi without rice for keto and carnivore diets! There is a kids menu also and cooked sushi for people who does not eat raw.
Definitely a place to stop! Be sure to read the menu as some rolls take extra time to prepare.

The food was good and the appearance was nice as well. The waitress was great but that being said, she seemed to be the only one working. They were not terribly busy however, she was the only one taking care of 4 tables that I could see. We were not in a hurry so for us that wasn’t a big deal but it is something to keep in mind if you are going for a quick bite.

We had fabulous drinks and food. Cream cheese wontons were light and crispy..the best I have ever had.
I had the New England roll and my husband had the sumo roll and Nguyen roll. Every thing was fresh made and fabulous. Best sushi I have had ever!

The sushi was excellent, not only how it tasted but also how it was presented. The banana wontons were also top notch! Awesome service and lovely decorations as well. We were so glad we found this restaurant.

Yummy! We had the firecracker yellowtail, spicy edamame, double tuna roll & eal sashimi. Owner, Kevin is personally creating the sushi and his story is amazing. What a great find! We often drive from Tampa to Miami and this will be our new halfway stop.

The best sushi place in Fort Myers so far. Has been passed this place couple times, I finally tried it out on the new year day of 2023. Its sushi is very tasty and the fried wonton is delicious. Patty is a very nice server and we like her. It would be our new favorite restaurant while in town.

Wow! Blown away at how FRESH our sushi and all of our meals were at 3pm in the afternoon! We ordered the New England cooked sushi roll and it tasted SO GOOD! we also had the fried rice with chicken and shrimp, two orders of chicken fried rice and every single ingredient was freshly cooked, no frozen broccoli or frozen carrots here. They also allowed the children to feed the koi fish in their pond which was an added Absolutely delicious meal, we will definitely be back! So excited we found this place!!

All my daughter wanted for her sweet sixteen birthday was sushi from Nguyen’s! We placed a huge order for take out to have a party at home and it was amazing! The best sushi we’ve had without a doubt! It was fresh and the flavors and sauces were outstanding!
