Beware of old lady try to over charge me $8 for eggs sandwich. Asked her why menu show $6. She starts to tell it’s for croissant sandwich. Which is still $7.50.

Ask several times egg and butter only. Still say yes yes. End up with egg sandwich with everything on it.

Just don’t understand

Nguyen Ngo French Sandwich is a well-known Vietnamese sandwich store in the Houston, TX area. Sometimes, I stop by the store and buy some sandwiches. I like their croissant BBQ chicken and grilled pork sandwiches. Their Vietnamese sandwiches are absolutely delicious. The cashier is always friendly to the customers. Most customers order the sandwiches to go. There are a few dining tables for people to sit down and enjoy their sandwiches, but many customers just order to go. The store’s atmosphere is not cozy.

The audacity of yelling over the phone telling client doesnt know how to order. tell me to drive to the store so she can teach me that. well im the 1st time client and have no idea what you are selling in the banh mi. instead of calmly explaining, she chose to argue and act like I was the problem. Guess what she still got my orders wrong after she “taught” me. I asked for veggies to be separated all my orders have veggies in there.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s the owner—only someone who owns the place would feel entitled enough to treat customers like garbage and think it’s okay. heard my viet co-workers get their food here but wont return.

Remember when you found “the one?”

The one person who gets you, completely.
The one tv show that makes you REALLY laugh out loud, really loud.
The one pair of jeans that double as your second skin, that you wear over and over again without washing.

Well, when it comes to banh mi, I’ve find “the one.” The one good place that I find myself going to, week after week, and still not getting tired of.

The banh mi here is the best in Houston. Week after week, without fail, this place provides consistently delectable banh mi.

I get shredded chicken, ham, pâté, and meatballs in mine for the meat, with the pickled carrots and less mayo spread. For me, this combination is perfect. The bread is crunchy enough, without being too crunchy to the point where you just have hard bread. The meats are flavored perfectly. And who doesn’t loved pickled veggies?

Simple, delicious, and consistent – when it comes to banh mi, this is “the one” for me.

This place offers really great Banh Mi with the unique twist of using croissants. I’ve had my fair share of Banh Mi from different markets in Boston and NYC and I was really impressed.

Outside of the bread the rest remains the same for your usual Banh Mi. The menu is really reasonable and I would suggest trying one with three meats. If you’re new to these careful for the jalapeño, I love the kick but just a fair warning for those who can’t do spicy.

This place is CASH ONLY so please make sure you have plenty of cash for your meal. I would aim for $10 should be enough for just one person.

This local mom and pop shop has better sandwiches than Lee’s Sandwiches. You must go early if you want to try the croissant version. We liked it so much, we came back for more sandwiches the following day.

The absolute best Banh Mi outside of Vietnam, in my opinion. Fair price, fast service, no fuss. Must visit every time I’m in the area. I also got the corn milk to try, and it was delicious!

I been a fan since 2008 but recently it’s a let down. The bread tastes like old and muggy. They raised the price and yet the quality gone down, never again
