My wife and I were looking for a place up the street from where we live and just wanted to go out for a few drinks and some great food. We got exactly what we were looking for. Our server was nice and kept us occupied with two big healthy appetizers. And the burgers to top of off for the entree were soo good I ended up taking some home with me. A very nice bar area with keno and great service; friendly staff. I always test American style restaurant’s chicken ziti and broccoli as a test dish; Newtowne past the Litmus test! Great dish. I wish the owner wouldn’t allow patrons to smoke 6″ from the door. The cigarette smoke enters the restaurant. Also the kitchen leaves the back door open and flies enter and interrupt the experience. Maybe the smokers should hang out by the dumpster and kill two birds with one stone. With all that said, there is one bartender (Wednesdays) that obviously did not take serve safe classes. She leaves the fruit tray open where people are talking over the open fruit. Also she handles her cell phone and then touches your glass without washing hands. In case you don’t know, there is more bacteria on a cell phone and computer keyboard than a toilet! After cleaning a drain strainer or something in the sink, she put her wet hand inside my to go container where I’m putting food in I’m going to eat. Definitely did not learn about food safety. Won’t be back on Wednesdays. Don’t let this part of my review turn you away. The food is good and there are elite bartenders on other days. I recommend Tuesdays!

This was my first time coming to Newtowne Grille. Walking in the semi empty place I didnt have high hopes but when the food came out my jaw dropped. The portions were huge, the appitisers were amazing. The spinach and artichoke dip was the best I’ve ever had and the cheesy fries were out of this world! The mac and cheese that my sister ordered for a meal was some of the best I’ve tasted at a resturant ever! I could tell everything was freshly made and it was delicious! It’s a great place to take the family and I totally recomend this place!

I can always go for some good food. My girl got the veggie pizza. I got a nice burger, delicious mushrooms. I love the preparation. The service… can’t go wrong. Love to come back there again and I will!

Awful. Ordered a burger, it had maybe a 1/8 inch Pattie that took up 1/2 the bun it was on. Found a long black strand of hair in my fries. Threw the whole meal away. Absolutely disgusted. Will never go back.

Entrance looks a bit confusing, cause it looks like it’s always closed. Inside presents a very enjoyable atmosphere, kinda dark and intimate in a way. Great for small groups, good menu for social gatherings. They have upbeat music & offer live entertainment on certain days and you can always call ahead to see what’s going on.
Cant remember the name of the dish I ordered, which I ended up swapping for french fries because I disliked it so much, but it had artichoke hearts in it and the whole dish tasted like just that. Was kinda disappointed but the night wasn’t ruined. For me? Well maybe I’ll stick to the pastas, burgers & fries

Staying at a nearby hotel and this place was on the list of places that delivered. They do not deliver; they allow DoorDash. However, we had five hungry kids and did not want another night of pizza. Ordered buffalo wings with a side of ranch; received bbq wings with a side of blue cheese. Ordered the chicken, broccoli and penne; it was lukewarm, chicken looked like chunks of leftover fried chicken and pasta barely had sauce. At $16.95 a plate, I expected it to not only look better but taste better. In my opinion the prices are on the higher end for the quality. We don’t live in the area and will not be back. This was a tough pill to swallow—our entire bill was $111+. Way overpriced.

Took my aunt who was on a walker was nervous about the step up.The staff was amazing helping her up and settled her in close by. There were plenty food choices and big portion. The place was clean and busy with many regulars. Who were amazing helping my aunt out as well as many laughs. When in the area again I would seek this place out. Even had live music that night.

When you initially walk in, it’s really confusing. We thought we accidentally came in the back door. Turns out, it’s a seat yourself place, but we had to go up to an employee and ask about seating to figure that out, there’s no one just standing nearby to tell you that.
As for the food: cheese fries were great, everything else came out cold and/or gross. Thought I could salvage the mac and cheese by heating it up at home, but whatever flavor there was melted into an oily puddle at the bottom of my bowl after the microwave. Fish was the texture of soggy breadcrumbs, and even our cats wouldn’t eat it.
