A downtown landmark where the Milwaukee Press Club’s spirited history lives on. You’ll find yourself surrounded by a legendary gallery of autographs, each a friendly nod from the famous figures who once shared a drink in this very room.

We found this place after walking away from our hotel that has a loud annoying bar. So we saw this place and couldn’t resist to get in. It was quiet not a lot of people which was on our benefit because we met the lovely bartender, he was such a nice human to meet. We had a great conversation with him but the place has this old and unique place all the signatures the poor desiccated cat. The iron work on the place also fantastic. Recommend that you stop by and enjoy a drink but also the history and decor of the place.

I can’t tell you how many times I passed this place not knowing how amazing it was. A very different vibe than the attached Spy bar. The bartender is very knowledgeable. The martini I ordered was perfect. Even better was the espresso martini that came with a tiny pack of candy cigarettes. Coffee and Ciggerettes. I got a kick out of that.

Great little place. If you like a quiet, chill bar this is a great option compared to ones up the street. The bartender is always coming up with new drinks and is a really great guy!

It’s a good place to grab a quick drink if you’re seeing a show downtown.
Hours don’t always follow what’s posted, but if it’s a busy night downtown the place will probably be open later

This bar was not busy when we stopped on a Friday evening around 6pm. Thus made the experience even better. We had a nice conversation with the bartender and learned that it was owned by the Marcus Corporation and it’s connected to the Safe House! We got transported to the Safe House through a secret alcove. So fun!

Great experience.

Bartender made a superb gin old fashioned.

Infinitely better than our experience at Central Standard Crafthouse & Kitchen & Craft Distillery.
