Newport Landing was established in 1986 and offers a great view of Newport Harbor with a relaxed atmosphere. The upstairs Oyster Bar offers the ‘longest happy hour’ everyday. Outside dining on our upstairs Oyster Bar deck or our Lanai patio when weather allows. Fresh seafood is our specialty along with steaks and famous clam chowder. Banquet rooms from 12-60 are available to reserve.

Fantastic restaurant that offers stunning harbor views and great value. We came around sunset and the hostess seated us outdoors overlooking the harbor. As the sun set the windows started twinkling like stars. The food was also incredible, big portions and very fresh. Super friendly staff and chill atmosphere.

This is a good place for heavy comfort food by the water, but not my taste and not for my palette.
Great view but old fashioned atmosphere with extra mediocre food.
My grilled tacos were extremely plain and the flour tortillas not warm—hot sauce helped. My baked potato side was undercooked so that I couldn’t eat all of it.
My friend’s burger was just okay; he didn’t even finish it.
The lobster tail got good reviews, but was quite small.

My friends and I planned to visit Balboa Island for 2025 Christmas boat parade and holiday decorations, so we made a reservation here and had brunch near Balboa Pier.
The location is excellent, it is right next to the ferry entrance, easy to find, with dedicated parking structure.
Check-in is on the second floor, which has a bar, indoor seating, and a small outdoor area. We had five people and chose to sit outside. The outdoor space is narrow and works best for groups of five or fewer.
They offer both happy hour (Mon-Fri, 2–5 PM) and a regular menu with plenty of options at reasonable prices. We ordered bread, pasta, burgers, and the clam chowder, everything was good. Friendly service, great views, such a perfect spot before taking the ferry to Balboa Island.

The Landing at Newport Beach is a must-visit! Its great location is just the start. The food was amazing, especially the fabulous zucchini and delicious steak & chicken kabobs. And don’t miss the superb bread pudding for dessert! What truly made our experience fantastic was the amazing staff, with special shout-outs to manager Carlos and our very pleasant hostess, Jenna. Definitely worth stopping by!

Zucchini sticks were the best part. Fries were a bit soft but that could have been from sitting under the fish. There are quite a lot of places to get fried fish from in the world and most I have had are better than here. There appeared to be a type of zest in the creme brulee, orange in color, that was interesting but not my favorite. My biggest issue is advertising a Monday night fish and chips special on their menu and online only to find out that you have to specifically request the special when ordering or the fish and chips are full price. Probably, that deserves a 1 star rating but I’m just rating off the food for me.
