Went to Newk’s for lunch. Ordered a Mix & Match with a soup, salad and sandwich. Ordered the premium steakhouse salad and the steak was brown, cold and hard. When a worker walked past our table I showed her the sandwich and she told me the steak is soak in Worcestershire sauce after it is grilled and proceeded to the kitchen. She then returned and said her manager said they could do something different (at this point we were done eating).

We have been customers of Newk’s For several years and one of the main reasons we always come back is that it is always clean and the food is always fresh. Our most recent visit was no exception and I’d like to share about an extra extraordinary employee. I do not know this individual. I had to approach a manager to ask for his name before leaving so that I could write my review. As we sat down after ordering and we’re waiting for our food, I often look around the establishment, watching people eat and also watching workers as they’re doing their daily routine. An employee named RJ really stood out to me. Imagine this…you’re sitting at your table waiting for your meal and you witness RJ zipping left, right and back-and-forth across the room. In a span of under five minutes, he could be seen taking trays of food to people’s tables, Refilling the tea jugs, Wiping down tables, Clearing dirty tables, positive interactions with customers, and even went so far as to grab someone a small container of Parmesan cheese from the self service area. When the customer requested the Parmesan cheese, he could’ve easily told them where the self service table was, but he did not. This says so much about his character and his passion for the job that he does. As a matter of fact when I went to request his name from the manager, another worker informed me that RJ was currently fixing something in the bathroom. This is the kind of person that any employer and manager dreams to have on their payroll. My family travels a lot because my daughter plays travel softball, so as you can imagine, we frequent lots of restaurants. So when someone does something as amazing as this, You better believe I’m going to rave about it. We always witness workers doing their job. But it is not very often that you see someone doing their job with such a purpose. The way he moved around the building was swift, precise, and with urgency. It seemed so natural to him, but he most definitely stood out. I would like to propose that when you are looking for your next manager position for Newk’s, that you put this gentleman at the top of Your ‘YES’ List. He has all of the characteristics of a go-getter and someone who you can tell is very passionate about giving his all! We always say that we will come back to eat at Newk’s but RJ really sealed the deal for us! What an incredible employee!

Clean establishment. Order at the door. Lots of sandwiches, salads, pizza, and soups. Food came out pretty quickly. Coke products and sweet tea. Food was good. I got pasta salad. It was ok. Had some nice crisp veggies in it. Sandwiches were good. Bread tasted fresh. Mac and cheese was creamy. Restrooms were clean.

Family of 5 went to enjoy a dinner. Customer service was wonderful, we were able to order in a timely manner no issue. We received our food and the food runner was great. It was all nicely made and placed on the plate. Everything was delicious and very good portions. Absolutely delicious. My kiddos enjoy it every time we make a visit.

The lady working the front register on 11-9-25 around 12:30 is an absolute gem. She was so sweet to us when we came in. Had great communication about the kitchen being behind. It was our first time eating here and it was a great experience. Food was really good. I loved the potato soup. Will be back!

Delicious Sandwiches full of flavor and quality meat. Potato salad., 3 choices of Tea’s Unsweetened, Sweet and Splenda sweet tea, and of course soda’s. We ate in, the restaurant its very cool, large, open & clean. We will be coming back.

I don’t know why I haven’t tried this place before. The pizza is my favorite but soups and sandwiches are also good. The atmosphere is always relaxing and inviting. Customer service has always been top notch!
