Stopped in here to pick up a Newk’s Que sandwich and Mac-n-cheese and oh brother were they out of this world good. The sandwich comes with the Alabama White Sauce, made famous by Big Bob Gibson’s bbq restaurant in North Alabama.

My coworkers and I went for lunch and there was a pretty significant issue with my sandwich. The manager quickly and professionally addressed the issue offering me a refund and replacing the item. I understand things go wrong sometimes and it is all in how it’s handled. Great service and my replacement was delicious.

To be honest I never heard Newks. I was given a gift card a while back so I stopped in to get some fresh food. There is an open kitchen which was awesome to see the food being prepped. I ordered Newks salad which had fresh chicken with artichokes. Wow what a salad and what a great portion. It can easily feed two people. Might have been the best salad I’ve ever eaten. My friend ordered a half of an Italian sandwich with mac and cheese. He couldn’t stop commenting how good it was. The Mac n cheese was super cheesy and looked amazing!!! Much better than Panera. Wish they had more locations.

The food was amazing as always. My toddler spilled my drink all over the place and Grace and Marlett went out do their way to help clean it up. They were so friendly and had the best attitudes. They were fantastic and will go far for sure!

The staff is great, the food is ok, but the restaurant is nasty. The floor is slippery and the booth upholstery is severely stained and torn. You would figure at $15-$20 for lunch they could make a little more appealing. I recommend you go to Jason’s or McAlister’s instead.

Our food was good and we always love newks. But this trip was little to no customer service, and 3 out of 4 of the kitchen staff workers were hanging out and chatting and not doing a thing. We saw the older gentleman finish our food and ask for a runner to run it out. Then i saw our food sit on a tray for 2 minutes with no one making an effort to bring it to us, so at that point we got up and got it ourselves. The nice lady working the register seemed like she was trying to do a good job, but the kitchen staff was just doing their own thing. Poor service, so we probably wont be back for a while.
