While I didn’t dine in personally, the atmosphere of the restaurant was very welcoming and festive. I enjoyed the unique layout of the eatery overall, and the smell of fresh baked pizza filled the air! I do intend to try the pizza next time, but on this visit the Ultimate Salad was superb! Fresh mixed greens, sliced pieces of grilled turkey, diced ham and boiled eggs with cucumbers and tomatoes, TRULY a delectable salad! And generous portions of meat made this salad well worth it’s price, which is also VERY reasonable! Newks will become a frequent lunch spot of mine whenever I’m in Columbus GA

Have been to a couple of Newke locations, and this Columbus store is pretty decent .. the people are primarily pretty nice or professional, at least ( possibly a couple visits were like a “1/5” cause of the customer service, usually that part is 4/5 or so ; and yes, the prices is a bit tough, not very affordable for most working families to eat there on a regular basis, and because of the food portion sizes matched with price point, that area gets like a 2/5 ; the food quality, primarily is standard or higher for a place like this, and the price, yet there are cross contamination concerns like many places ; have seen particularly salad station have foods that should get kept separate, wind up in unalike food, i e , cheese in artichokes, or cheese in lettuce, or bacon in the cranberries or olives, and that type of thing, and have attempted to correct them and let them know it were inappropriate to work in a manner where that happens, cause its avoidable, they listen occasionally or depending who it is ; and then the fruit, on occasion has had stuff in it; not sure yet it looked like pasta or noodle kind, that has occurred multiple instances, yet the food would get about a 3 1/2 , though the quality of the ingredients and food products they use are about a 4 or 4 1/2 (certain stuff 3 / 5 ) ; its a clean place, a friendly atmosphere , very airy and roomy , plenty of seating and room to walk around tables and chairs w/o having to ask others to scoot in or being asked to move up/scoot the chair so a person can walk through, and pretty chill/neutral place tone

My sandwich was good, however, the Greek salad had so much dressing it was inedible. We were there for a quick lunch so no time to wait for a new salad.

I’m so bummed to be leaving this review, because I previously rated this location 5 stars. Unfortunately the food quality at Newk’s has drastically declined. My wife and I used to regular dine in and order to-go, but our most recent visit might have been our last. We always order the salmon Caesar salad, and for the past 3-4 visits they’ve given us one portion of salmon to split across two salads. Frustrating, but the flavor was still good. We complained, but never heard back. This time, not only did they half the portion, one salad was not given dressing and another had several strands of hair in it.

The sampled Greek Chicken Salad tasted good. The generous portion consisted mainly of Romaine, but there were also enough olives and chicken, etc. in the mix to make it good value for the money. Quick and friendly service, too.

Newks at Columbus Crossing. 30 minutes for service, although the restaurant was not even half full. And, the avocado on my wife’s Turkey Avocado sandwich was well past its use by date.

Pros: high quality dishes; friendly staff; fast service; convenient location; pizza (surprisingly good, and a good value!); central table of extras that includes roasted garlic. Cons: odd front orientation easily leaves people out the door while ordering, while the to-go cashier is in the back right corner; soups aren’t as good as Panera; “fast casual” pricing means frequently over $10/person. Overall, pleasant restaurant in a nice area.

Ok. So we have been waiting for a long time to try this place out since we didn’t want to drive to Auburn to try that one.

I finally decided to give this place a try and I’m glad I did. This is a really nice and cozy place to eat. It’s extremely clean and the staff is friendly. I tried one of their pizzas and it was pretty good. I also got my food pretty fast. They also have a complimentary section with jalapenos, pickles, cheese, and more. I will be coming back for sure.

Our 1st time there. I had planned to try a pizza per the good reviews but the seasonal French dip won me over. Very good, the meat was cut nice and thick. The Au jus sauce had a nice flavor. I had it as it comes with no substitutes, the flavors were good and hearty. We also tried the club sandwich which I was told was very good also. Crab and lobster bisque was better than some I had in Florida. Staff and management very friendly and hospitable. We dined around 7:30pm on a Sunday and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. We picked up some of their chicken salad and lobster bisque soup from the to go market section. Nice feature especially if you need to grab something quick. Chicken salad has pecans, celery and grapes in it, tasty but I like a few more grapes myself . Nice experience, will definitely return!
