Always skeptical when trying a new Chinese place but this place went beyond my expectations customer service was great and easy to understand the lobby it’s self super clean and smelled clean the food the aroma coming from the takeout bag just gave me so much hope and I was NOT disappointed when eating the food the white rice was great as well that the pork fried rice, the egg rolls were great and crispy the broccoli that came with the sesame chicken was cooked perfectly and the chicken wings were Krispy and full of flavor and super juicy. I don’t stay in the area but would drive the extra 25-30 minutes for this takeout again. Keep up the good work new china!

Out of every item I have ordered, everything have been fresh and tasty. My food always comes out pipin hot and I love the fried rice here especially the house fried rice. I always order mid day because I work near by but this place has never disappoints me. The portion sizes are filling and appropriate for price. Always good customer service no matter who answers the phone and I’ve been eating here over 6 months and have way better food options than the ones in Lakeland. Pictured is honey chicken that came with a honey sauce separately 10/10. I recommend this place especially during lunch

Tried NewChina for the first time and overall, it was just okay. I got a small chicken lo mein, and my wife had chicken with fried rice. We also ordered two egg rolls and fried wontons. The total came out to $22.84, which was reasonable.
The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. The lo mein and chicken fried rice both lacked flavor—nothing terrible, just a bit bland. The egg roll was decent, and the fried wontons were actually the best part of the meal for me, though I probably wouldn’t order them again.
Overall, it was an average experience, but I don’t think I’ll be back. The food just didn’t have enough flavor to make it worth returning. 3/5

Tried New China because my usual spot, Lee House on 60 in Brandon, was closed. Ordered the combo plate with fried chicken wings and pork fried rice — hands down the most disappointing I’ve ever had. Frozen peas and carrots, and the oil had a gross aftertaste. If I could give half a star, I would. Won’t be ordering again.

The first red flag was that they did not serve egg foo yung. I should have walked out. So, I proceeded to order for myself and my family. All the food had an unusual and unpleasant taste. The crab Rangoon tasted old. My side of vegetables were unseasoned. I’ve never been to a Chinese takeout, and the food tasted the way it did like it just wasn’t right.

I saw mixed reviews here, so thought I would try for myself. I wasn’t particularly hungry so I ordered a pork egg roll and an order of fried wonton. Both were great. The fried wontons had an exceptional amount of meat filling and could be considered a meal unto themselves. The food was done fairly quickly and was served piping hot.

Worst chinese restaurant I ever been to. First chinese store where I actually had to wait for the food. Let alone 40 minutes. I looked at the staff and there was only one Chinese and a bunch of bros with man buns and their sleeved up tattooed girl. In short: It wasn’t Chinese. I guess the 2 bros who had a crazy Idea the ideas were to work at a chinese restaurant like they are chinese. You can really tell the food is taking exceptionally long because they are not Chinese.

This place serves really good food, ive ordered here at least a dozen times by now, im keeping it 5 stars because mistakes can happen. I order typically a Platter Combination, Fried Rice with Boneless Spare Ribs that comes with an egg roll. I love it so much, and the sauce is amazing, and the boneless spare ribs were a deep red color with a glaze sauce thats deep red. So i decided to order a Large Boneless spare ribs on Dec 13 around 8PM, with a large Fried Rice, and a Fried Rice with Fried Chicken and Chicken Lo Mein, my girlfriend eats the FR with FC and CLM, i eat the spare ribs, however, this night, i got spare ribs that looked Dry, sauceless, and Grey coloring??? It looked disgusting and it tasted bland. Im not so sure why it was like that, but i wont take away my 5 star rating because this was the first time this had happened. I assume maybe they changed the spare ribs they normally get because it looks similar to China 1s version down in Riverview, its not my favorite, so hopefully next time it wont be the same, and itll return to my normal deep red glazed spare ribs.

Ordered on Saturday night before closing. Great service and the food was amazing. Update. Ordered again i said no vegetables repeatedly. Should get someone who answers the phone who knows the menu. I wont be back
